With the cheapest Jet Blue fare (true blue, I think), I know you have to pay for bags, but I can't figure out if you have to pay for a seat assignment too.
We'll be traveling with a 5 year old so want to get assigned seats but just want to make sure I'm comparing apples to apples when looking at different airline prices.
Thanks!

The only time you pay for a seat assignment on JetBlue is if you choose an "even more space" extra legroom seat. Usually, this is the first few rows & also a couple of rows near the emergency exit. You get notified if you pick this type of seat, so you know before you book it. You will get a pop up telling you the seat you chose is $30, for example. No extra charge to pick regular seating.
