Is there a reopening date for Test Track?

I have read that Test Track will reopen in 2025 ...but is there any info out there that is a little more specific?

LOL, when World of Motion closed down in 1996 to become Test Track, Disney said the new ride would open in 1997. It didn't open until 1998! So I won't believe an opening date of 2025 for the new ride until Disney posts something specific, and they won't post that until they're more certain that they can meet it.

The Test Track renovation is a major change to this attraction. I'd be surprised if it actually makes a 2025 opening.

My understanding though is that they are not actually chanigng the ride system itself. I think it's all a redressing. They may alter some of the programmed movements though. I don't think it will take as long as the original Test Track installation.

I hope you're right! As always, we can't do anything but wait and see!

Last I heard they said "late" summer of 2025, so first week of August is iffy. Maybe if they're doing soft openings by then? If they say late, I'd guess sometime in September if not the last week before fall starts.

I'll be there the last week in September, and I'd be very surprised if Test Track were reopened.

I can’t help remembering when TT was first built. It opened a year or more later than projected. Of course that was a build from the ground up, and the computerized ride system was new and took longer to set up than they expected.

I take openings/reopening with a majorly large grain of salt at Disney. I’ve definitely learned not to get my hopes up nor plan my trips around these events

I remember getting some pictures of DS and a friend on the test vehicles for Tron thinking it must be coming soon. Well that was on a trip before the shutdown so I also don’t pay attention to their press releases until something IS actually opened

Which is why I have a hard time getting excited for Villains land or the AK Dino land rework or honestly any large project they say they're doing when even one ride refurb or something like a corn dog stand takes so long to get up and running.

I feel the same. I mean, they’ve been working on shade structures and expanding seating at Woody’s Lunchbox since 2023!!! And Journey of the Little Mermaid was supposed to have opened last fall. Sorry, just does not instill any faith in Disney following their own timelines.
