So Tuesday, DH had come home with a Wii. On Friday, he comes home with a Wii Fit and I decided to give it a shot. After all, what can it hurt right?:confused3

I weigh about 10 lbs more than I thought I did. :scared1: :( And because of this and my height, my BMI catagorizes me as 'mildly obese'. :(:scared:

So yesterday, I decided to give it a chance and did a full workout. Boy did it ever kick my butt. I went on the short run and by the time it was over with (about 5 min) I was gasping for breath. When I woke up this morning, my legs were very sore from the yoga/strength exercises but I'm determined to perservere. In the long run it's cheaper than a gym (I think) and I don't have to worry about anybody staring at me (except maybe the cat, who is probably laughing at me anyway:lmao:).

I am so proud of myself..I managed to complete both the Island Lap and a 10 min Free Run without really stopping. Well..alright. I stopped once in the middle of the Island Lap for about a minute or so and again during the Free Run for a few seconds to get a drink of water. But I still completed them..didn't quit.

Am I the only person who doesn't like the Jackknives? :confused: Because I did one set of 10 reps and was thinking, "Yeah I'm not doing THAT again.".

I realized I skipped posting on Weds and Thurs last week. Fri and Sat TOTALLY do not count because we were travelling. Went to a wedding on Fri night out near Hippie Hollow (nudist beach) in Austin which was just about the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I didn't exercise at all on Fri or Sat, unless you count me boogying my butt off at the reception.:banana: :lmao:

I woke up this morning with a sore back..so sore I could barely get out of bed. :( I took some advil, got DS off to school and came home feeling like crud. So I made myself a bacon sandwich and grabbed some chips and a Dr. Pepper to make myself feel better. Feeling guilty afterwards, I kicked out 20 min of rhythym boxing and 30 min of free step. I know tonight I'm gonna have a crap dinner too. It's kind of chilly out so I'm planning on making my fast-n-dirty from scratch chicken pot pie and maybe some homemade cheese straws.

Ugh.

I did lose almost a pound between yesterday and today though. :) Only 7 more lbs to go before I hit my goal of losing 10 lbs for DH's birthday in Nov.

I don't know if I'm going to continue on Slimfast indefinately, or what. I DO love to eat..oh lord do I love to eat. That's how I got here in the first place.:rotfl:

Today is the second day of my Slimfast diet. I am down about 1.8 lbs from yesterday. I started off three weeks ago really good with my Wii Fit program and I lost about 5 lbs over the course of ten-twelve days. HOWEVER..I went out of town to a wedding over a weekend and gained it all back. :( So now I'm fighting to get it off. My goal right now is to lose 10 lbs by Thanksgivng and I know if I keep up with the Slimfast I can do it. :woohoo:

Had to comment. What a great idea to us eyour Wii to excersize. It is making me thing that we need one. Hmmmm, maybe Santa can bring me one ;) You are doing so good at your excersizing!! Congrats!!

Be careful with Slimfast. I know you have had success in the past, but after a while it could start to have the opposite effect. That is what happened to me, I started gaining weight:scared1:

Have you ever thought of giving Weight Watchers a try? I say this because you obviously share my LOVE:love: for evil foods:rolleyes1 WW helped me becuase I truly learned how a little of those bad foods can knock me right off my groove. For example: Yesterday I ate a great breakfast, a great lunch and a great supper, I was completely on plan (OP) BUT I had a French Vanilla Smoothie worth 6 points!! 6 points for a drink!! I ended up going over 3 points for the day and it was all for a drink!! I never knew steamed milk with some french vanilla flavor would be that bad for me!! But now that I know that, I realize that in order to have it, I have to EARN it. You can earn activity points for those treats. And you would definatly get activity points from all your excesizing!! Anyway, I am not a spokesperson for weight watchers, I just thought I would suggest it. Let me know if you want links to some of the information.
