I want rent an RV @ FW

From the Fort Wilderness Amenities webpage:

RV Rentals

Surround yourself in the beauty of nature while still enjoying the comforts of home—courtesy of an RV rental!

Before and after a day of play at one of our magical destinations, you and your family can rest and relax inside your very own RV! Featuring some of the same amenities as our Resort hotels, RVs provide a perfect middle ground for those who simply can’t decide between a campsite or cabin.

Best of all, you can even have an RV delivered right to Walt Disney World Resort—meaning you can get your “outdoor” adventure started the second you arrive, without dealing with any additional hassles!

RVs can be rented by contacting a Disney Featured Provider, including:
When renting through one of these providers, you do not need to be present when the equipment is delivered to the Resort. The provider will work with our Cast Members to manage deliveries, set-up and returns of the rented RVs.

Although I've never rented a trailer/rv at FW, I WOULD recommend using one of the Disney-featured providers as opposed to some company not listed but offering service. Getting Disney's approval and cooperation means that featured rental company will offer a level of customer service similar to what Disney would offer in their own properties.

I'm not saying there will never be a problem with a provider. But I AM saying your chances of having a good experience (even if something unexpected happens) are better with a featured provider.

Personally, I've read this board for many years and heard many rental stories and that's my take-away on that subject FWIW.

Others have given you good advise but I'd like to ask why you want to rent one? I'll preface this by saying we own a fifth wheel and have stayed at the Fort and will be there again the 1st week of December this year so love the Fort and our RV. Having gotten that out of the way, have you ever stayed in a RV? Is price the reason? Is it you just want to stay at the Fort? I don't know how much it costs to rent one but I'm thinking once you pay the rental cost, the cost for the site and possibly rent a golf cart, you could probably stay in a moderate resort for the same price. The Fort is fun and definitely has a vibe totally different than any of the resorts but it's huge and if you plan on visiting any of the parks other than MK, you have to take the buses. So you either rent a golf cart and park it at the bus depot or you take the internal buses to the bus depot to get to any of the parks. Like I said, we love our RV and love the Fort but neither are for everyone.
