I told off the gas pump tonight..

Our gas prices do that on a weekly basis!!!! Can't wait to see what it will do tomorrow with the students coming back on Friday!!!! They always rise it about 25 cents on Thursday because the students going home generally need gas to get there. Then they lower it about Monday after they come back (cause if their parents bring them they need gas to get back home usually) and then it will raise again on the following Thursday and start all over again!!!

They've actually been dropping here
Between $1.15-$1.19. I'm VERY surprised!!

I meant to buy gasoline on the way home from work Monday night. It was $1.35 a gallon. I worked until 8PM and decided to just buy gas in the morning. When I drove past the Speedway station near my home the next morning, it was $1.54 a gallon. I resigned myself to paying more for gas and continued on to work, hoping for a bargain. When I drove past the first station near work, the price was $1.54. I looked across the street and the BP station was still advertising $1.35 a gallon. The place was jammed, but I found a pump and filled up my car. As I was filling the tank, I saw one of the employees of the station walking out to the big sign out front, numbers in hand. He was about to raise the price by 19 cents. If I had been a couple minutes late in my drive to work, I would have missed out on the bargain.

No relief today. The price of gasoline usually spikes here on Thursday, so I was shocked when they raised the price Tuesday morning. It's a conspiracy I tell ya.

I stopped and got gas on my way home from work yesterday and paid $1.47. On my way to the second job when I passed that same station, it was $1.59. I'm glad I stopped when I did.

We can all thank Venezuela for the rise in gas prices. I work on the third largest refinery in the Western Hemisphere and we get a major portion of our crude from Venezuela. We've had to shut down almost 1/2 of the refinery because we have no crude to process.

Couple this with the refinery in Curacao shutting down completely and Citgo cutting back production by almost half, you're going to see even higher prices in gasoline coming soon.

Just what we want to hear..:( &

Sorry Shep.....I didn't mean to be the bearer of bad news:( :( :(

Saw an article in the paper last week about the pending increase in gas prices, encouraging everyone to fill up . . . Guess it's here . . .

I won't be as shocked now that I know....
Good to know what's to come...

Wow ours hasn't gone up that much yet!

I just got gas on the way home tonight. $1.87 a gallon! I forgot to check prices as I went in. As it was approaching 5 gallons and at about $9.41 I quit! I'll go searching around town tomorrow.

Seems like ours have been flucuating about .25 for the past few months. One of my biggest pet peeves!!!
