How to sell Disney gift cards?

Hello! I have roughly $2400 in Disney gift cards from a cruise deposit we ended up not going on. I would like to sell them for cash as we don't see ourselves going to Disney in the next few years. Where can I sell them and be assured it's not a scam? I certainly understand they would be sold at a discount. TIA!

There are sites that buy GCs. But the discount would be huge.
I would reach out on Facebook to see if any friends you trust wants to buy any.
I myself am too cynical. I would only pay cash on any gc that I transferred the balance immediately to another card so that the original couldn't be drained before I used it.

This is tricky since, unless a change was made I am unaware of, you can only transfer up to $1000 onto a card.

I’ve seen Disney gift cards sold in some of my Facebook Marketplace groups. They usually get snapped up FAST. I’ve seen them sold for about 10% off face value.

Thank you for your reply! You are correct that the discount would be huge on those sites. The most I could have gotten was 70% of the value. I ended up listing them on Facebook Marketplace with a 10% discount and was able to sell them to two different people. I did have have a couple sketchy replies as well, so you definitely need to be careful. I was pleasantly surprised by the response...I didn't think people would be interested due to the trust factor.

I sold my disney giftcards on ebay at almost face value.. my 500 card sold for about 498. And I had to give ebay $50 I did not mail the cards so there was no shipping fee. It's funny some auction cards go over the face value for some reason. The person who bought it lived in the UK

I would do it again but I think I would try marketplace or nextdoor.com first

On eBay, they go for face value. I don't understand that. If you're going to pay face value, might as well buy them at whatever store you get them. As for the OP trying to sell, I am with others. Try on local marketplace. That way you can swap face to face (at a police station, city hall, fire department, whatever). Or try selling to family members, neighbors, someone you know.

From what I understand some people do not have access to American store giftcards but have access to ebay. When they travel here they want the cards..
