How does waitlist work with transferred points?

I transferred points from one membership to another, but I have waitlists under both membership. How does that work? I’m really confusing myself on this. Will my waitlists look at the combined (transferred) points as a whole and match? Or will I be told I don’t have enough points? It will leave 0 points under my membership I transferred out of.
 
It’s based on the membership where the points sit.

If you set up a waitlist on one membership, and there are no points, it can’t fill unless you authorize borrowing.

The waitlist for the membership with points is completely different and will follow the same thing. Use points that are there.

If you were thinking you could do waitlists on each membership and have points moved from one to the other fill, then that is not possible.

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure the waitlists on the membership I transferred into would recognize the new points, otherwise there wouldn’t be enough to fill
 
Another question about transferred points... it might work out that we have three memberships 🤯🤯 because of the way they are going to be titled.

So if i have three memberships and i transfer points from animal kingdom to blt, does this mean that I can't transfer points from Saratoga to animal kingdom in the same uy because I already transferred out of akv to blt previously?

I haven't transferred anything because I haven't gotten my akv, yet. But my SSR if it goes thru, is going to have 9 random banked points, that I don't want to lose so I'd like to possibly transfer them when I get them to AKV.

Based on the current reports, they are no longer giving owners an exception to the more than. One transfer when amongst themselves.

So, if you end you with three memberships you won’t be able to transfer between three in the same UY unless DVC decides to allow the more than one.

This is why we never rely on transfers. We book on each for different trips or part of split stays.

If we borrow, we borrow…for us, transferring is a pain.

Sorry, one more question. Transferred points don’t show up on our dashboard. If my waitlist fills, will the member services person see these transferred points? Or should I call and ask them to leave a note on my waitlist alerting them to the transferred points? Without the transferred points my dashboard only shows two points available and I’m concerned about them canceling the waitlist in error..,

Transferred points are held in a temporary contract in your membership.

That’s why it doesn’t show in your dashboard because you don’t own that contract.

But, all contracts show when booking so MS will see it. However, it doesn’t hurt to chat or call and have them make a note you want the transferred points to be used!
