I know dining reservations can be very important at DW but is it the same at DL. How easy is it to get dining reservations at Disneyland.

They are much less critical, at least in that you do not have to book them as far out as you do for WDW. I wouldn't necessarily wait until the day of, but you can sometimes get in even then. If you are sure that you want to eat there then make a reservation, but you can do it a few weeks out and will probably have no problems unless it is a particularly busy time.

Getting reservations at DLR is much easier than at WDW, but it's becoming more and more important to have one if you know you want to dine at a specific location and/or time. You can often get pretty good reservations on short notice (~week), except for dining packages (especially F! once it goes to weekends only), dessert parties, special events, and the Blue Bayou. If they have space, the TS locations will take walk-ups, but the wait time can be fairly substantial (30 minutes to over an hour are not uncommon).
