Ho-Hos vs. Ding Dongs

I always thought Ho Ho's and Ding Dongs were the same thing. We're cheap however and buy the Little Debbie version of Ho Ho's and get two in the pack instead of one Ho Ho.

Of all of the snack cakes my favorite is Devil Dogs - no chocolate coating and the filling is the best!!!!

OMG devil dogs!! Unfortunately, they don't sell those in my neck of the woods.

Yes. HoHos and Ding dongs are different.

I prefer Zingers and, of course, the Twinkies

Hostess Hoho's and Ding dongs are the same thing. -Same Ingredients, just a different shape.

Drakes Ring Dings and Yodels are the same thing.-Same Ingredients, just a different shape.


Dolly Madison products are just Hostess products in a different wrapper.

All are from the same company , Interstate Brands Corp and bake both brands in shared bakeries. Drakes has very little variety left and the formulas have been change since Hostess took them over 9 years ago. IBC all but destroyed the Drakes brand.


Other brands that IBC owns are Wonder Bread, Dolly Madison, JJ Nissen, Holsum, Sunbeam, Merita and more.

How do I know? I was a Sales Manager for them for 10 years.

I prefer ho-hos over ding dongs. Though It has been at least 10 years since I ate one.

I was unfamiliar with chocodiles. They look icky. Like a chocolate bar attacked a twinkie. Twinkies need to remain unsullied. They are perfect as is.

FTR, I am against frying Twinkies as well.
