Not sure if this is the right forum, but
I am taking my granddaughter to Disney for a girls trip in July. Drawn to Life was a must for us and even arranged for us to arrive a day before our reservation at CBR to be sure we could make it. We are staying at CBR July 6-11, but the only day the show is playing is on that Sunday, July 6. So I bought the tickets for the 4pm show. I modified flights to get in late on the 5th and we'll stay at the Hyatt Regency that night we arrive since it'll be so late (11:30pm).

So, since check in at CBR isn't until 3pm, how likely is it that we can actually check in earlier? How early do you think they'll actually let us check in? If they don't let us check in early enough, I assume they'll hold our bags for us to go to the show?

Then, how early should we arrive to the venue for Drawn to Life to get situated, see any pre-show stuff, etc.? What is the best way to get to the venue from CBR? How long does it take?

I haven't stayed at Disney in 40 years and I want to make this trip amazing for my granddaughter, so any help and advice is greatly appreciated!

Not to say it can’t happen, but I would be surprised if you were able to check in “early-early” like say 10am. I would bank on check-in being the posted check-in time, or at least very near it.

Whether you show up at 3am or 3pm (or anywhere in-between) on day of check-in, they’ll hold your bags in advance of your formal check-in.

If it was me, I would show up to CBR around 1:30pm. Wait in line a few minutes, to see if can get in room early. If not, no big deal, have them hold the bags. This allows plenty of time. It’s now around 2:00pm. The hotels have shuttles to Disney springs every 20 minutes or so. Walk to the shuttle bus area, and plan as though just missed the shuttle, so now with wait and transport time, still get to Disney Springs before 2:45pm. Maybe an 8 minute walk to the big top where the show is.

Can walk around a little or if desired, go inside the venue. Keep in mind, this is a somewhat conservative plan and there would likely be about an hour to burn after arriving at Disney Springs but before the show. However, to me, I’d rather be an hour early than 10 minutes late. I have never gone to Drawn To Life, but I have gone to a number of other Cirque performances. I don’t recall anything special or “must see” happening in advance of the show itself. If it was me and the show started at 4pm, I’d likely enter the venue around 3:40pm.

Hope that you enjoy!!

What’s the price difference between 1 night at the Hyatt and 1 night added on to CBR? I’d spend a little more to not have to check in and check out. It would make for a more relaxing day after getting in so late…sleep in, check out the pool, etc

Actually, the difference isn't much. I was just thinking it would be easier after arriving so late to just stay there at the airport. But, you make a lot of sense. That would solve my problem too of not having a room ready before we head to the show in Disney Springs. I think I will call tomorrow and have them add another day for me. Thank you!
