Help with deciding which room Contemporary or Boulder Ridge

Since you are still a month out, I’d hang on a little longer. I’m assuming you have room-only booked. If you can handle holding two deposits for now, I’d wait until 10-12 days before your trip bc they might have more information then and know if people are still getting moved. I would also request that signature services get directly on the phone with the Tower Club staff and get more specifics if the CM doesn’t know much about it still. It sounds like it is an important trip, so I’d give it a bit more time, but then push for some definitive answers. Good luck and have a great trip.

I tried having them talk directly to the tower club but they said they didn’t have a number to reach them. The reservations are room only so I can cancel 8 days out. Probably a good idea to see what things look like closer to the date

Warning long post of indecisiveness.

I have two rooms booked right now and really indecisive on which to keep. I booked a two bedroom theme park view suite at the contemporary and a two bedroom villa at boulder ridge (cash not DVC points). 3 night stay so not a long trip, but during spring break so busy time.

The contemporary one I booked with a bounce back offer otherwise it would have been too expensive. It’s slightly more than boulder ridge but not by a huge amount.

Here’s my dilemma of which to keep:

The contemporary seems to be doing renovations to the roof and have had to move people out of the rooms this month. Mine isn’t until another month, but I’m worried about being moved. Since it’s during spring break other rooms are limited and with our party number we technically fit into a normal sized room which will not work for us at all. I am still somewhat leaning towards this since we can’t do this without a bounce back and I don’t see this room available often.

The trip is over my mom’s birthday she’ll be 74 and it’ll be first time over her actual birthday we will be at Disney. My dad’s birthday is a few days later. So both will be celebrating.

Boulder Ridge I know is newly renovated, we’ve only stayed in the main building before so it would be something new. I love layouts of 2 bedrooms I find them really quiet with it all inside doors and none to outer hallways unlike the contemporary suite. I’m a very light sleeper so that’s a huge plus for me. Pool time is important to my kids (1 and 4) and haven’t been in either hotels pools before. This hotel would save money which is always good. Don’t love the transportation options as much we will have 2 strollers and I know some of the boats have to fold them and every other park is a bus. This room didn’t have any discounts available but was still cheaper than the contemporary discounted room.

Honestly I’d really rather stay at the Poly Tower again. We just came back from there and loved it. We watched fireworks from our balcony every night and then the kids went right to bed. But it’s booked up so these are my options. I’ve asked my husband for some input and he said which ever one I want is fine, which isn’t really helpful. I’d like to cancel one of them so I don’t have so much money tied up in a room I’m not even going to stay in.

Help please!
As soon as I read stroller I'm 100% CR. You just cannot beat never having to collapse the stroller when going to Mk and Epcot plus MK is a quick walk too. I wouldn't worry too much about them moving your room. If something happens and they have to move you, Disney has a way to make it right. I'd do CR hands down.

Also the 2 bdrms at CR are WONDERFUL and theme park view...it's awesome. You can watch fireworks from your room, hear and see the train from your balcony and look at the castle whenever you want.

If they have to move you due to unexpected construction/repairs/etc. I would assume Disney will place you in a room that is at least of equivalent value. We stayed at Contemporary a few years ago and had a lake view room which is lower priced than MK view. Mostly for the MK view you see the Contemporary parking lot and perhaps a few of the tallest buildings at MK. Lake View is a great place to sit on the balcony and there are a lot of other things to see for less money.

We used to watch the fireworks from that outdoor patio area which I think is considered the 4th floor on the opposite end of where Chef Mickey's is located. Walk past the gift shops to find that area.
