A chair is literally an amenity.

The Christmas tree and photographers in lobby are amenities. The gingerbread house is an amenity.

The tree and gingerbread house are decorations for ALL to enjoy, they are not an amenity only for hotel guests. The photographers are for the use of those that wish to purchase the photo or who have Photopass on their park ticket/Annual pass. Unless hotel guests are getting the photographs for free.

Actually VGF is one of our home resorts. We love staying there. Can't wait to bring our child to see the Christmas decorations next year (complete with with peasants non-hotel guests clogging up the lobby). It'll be his first time!

However, I assume (hope) the 'you' in your statement is referring to non-hotel guests, and not me specifically.

I'm genuinely curious. Is walking through the lobby considered 'consuming amenities'? I know it was discussed previously, but is the lobby even considered an amenity? I personally have never thought of a hotel lobby as an amenity exclusive to hotel guests only. I've been to many different hotels around the world and nobody has ever asked me to prove that I was a guest of the hotel upon entering the lobby.

Also, if you are a deluxe resort guest is it ok to visit other deluxe resorts? If I'm staying the Floridian is it ok for me to visit Wilderness Lodge to see their decorations? Are you saying that only hotel guests staying at that resort are allowed in each resort? Or is the issue that people staying moderate/value, or off site completely, are causing the problems? (Assuming you are not buying anything from or dining at the resort you are visiting which seems to be acceptable)

You’ve got two factors making GF lobby grand central station in December. 1st, Disney is promoting guests to visit the GF lobby. 2nd, the monorail is a very efficient people mover. I’ve been doing the GF at Christmas for the last 8 years. It gets more crowded each year. The addition of the poly tower may be a tipping point. It has nothing to do with income.

Because Disney puts a photographer somewhere with photo pass does that give anyone with photo pass an absolute right to go to said location?

For example a photographer is in animal kingdom park does that mean I can get in without paying admission or must I pay admission?

Calling guests entitled for expecting a higher standard at the Grand Floridian ignores Disney’s clear distinction between Value, Moderate, and Deluxe resorts. Deluxe resorts, like the Grand Floridian are priced for service, accommodations, and atmosphere. Are all guests staying at deluxe resorts entitled? Of course not—they’re paying for what Disney promises: a step above the rest. Expecting those standards isn’t entitlement; it’s holding Disney accountable to their own tiered system.

Disney service strives to be top notch at all resort levels. The theming is unique at each resort.

The difference is, Deluxe resorts typically have larger rooms, more resort amenities and some resorts have close park proximity compared to values and moderates. Plus extended evening hours on select nights. That’s pretty much it.

I don’t know where the notion of GF guests expecting a higher standard or being a step above the rest comes from, but to me, that doesn’t translate into limiting visitors.

They do indeed require priority boarding, but once the designated wheelcair area is full, you must wait for another train. That IS a requirement for safety of disabled and ambulatory guests alike. It was you that brought up the disability aspect in response to someone saying if the monorail was full, just walk. No one here was even suggesting that it should apply to disabled guests.

What does free food have to do with the trespassers that simply take the provided transportation (an amenity that they paid for in the cost of their park ticket or hotel stay if onsite) to come to look at a gingerbread

If it is inside a park, a park admission ticket is required. If the photographer is at a resort that is open to the public, or Disney Springs anyone can use the photographer.
