First, I suggest you head over the DVC resorts forum for pictures. Those folks will share gladly.
My family just returned from a cash stay. I think that as a DVC unit you should temper your expectations because this is not like a regular resort stay. No towels and room cleaning daily, etc. The QS options are nice but very limited IMO, however an owner explained that they want it this way, and vote on amenities. The resort is large.
Now to the fun! This is a lovely resort, large but stunningly laid out. It is truly a home away from home so do use it as such. For us there was a bit of a learning curve because we were used to popping in to a QS to get morning coffee etc, but this is not always convenient at OKW. So make sure you have your food etc to prepare in your kitchen or kitchenette, and you will be ready!
There are so many things to do on the grounds, from shuffleboard to running to grilling. There is a hospitality house that lends games and movies. The pools are so convenient and IMO quiet and inviting.
Our room was spotless.
The CM's awesome! They were friendly, every one of them we encountered. They were professional as well, which means a great deal when you rely on them to ensure your trip details are covered.
While this resort would not be my preference every trip, it worked well for us in December, and I would not hesitate to book it again in the future. I would be sure to place a larger grocery order, and know in advance that I might want to use Lyft when I am in a hurry rather than Disney transportation.
