How to most Canadians get from LAX to Disneyland ? Uber, rental car, car service?
We have to fly to LAX. It’s a direct flight.
Thank you

Im from Ireland and I have been flying into LAX and going to Disneyland for many years. These are the options.

  1. Rent a car
  2. Uber or Lyft - you have to go to the central transport hub called LAXIT, there is a shuttle bus which picks up outside the arrivals at the terminal.
  3. Private car service - I use Midwilshuttle. I book and pay in advance. They have a WhatsApp number and I connect to the free airport WiFi and text them when I am waiting for my checked luggage. They can pick up curbside outside the arrivals terminal. When I get my bag, I go out to the pick up area and text them the pole number. They text back the drivers name and make of car. They wait in the area and when I text that I am at the pick up area, the driver is there in about 10 minutes. The drive to Disneyland is about an hour, depending on traffic. It costs me about $100 for one person and one checked bag.
  4. Shuttle bus to Aviation and LAX station then train to Norwalk train station, then 460 bus to Disneyland.

We always rent a car through Costco because you can only do a max of 5 park days at Disneyland so we have a lot of days to explore the area. Having a car is more convenient than Ubering everywhere.

We used a car service as well. In the past we have used a car rental but find the car service faster and more convenient for our needs.

We've used Executive Car Service a few times and have another round trip already booked for our April trip.

We used Midwilshuttle when we went to Disneyland in 2023. Very happy with the service and not having to drive on unfamiliar roads.

We like to rent a car because we also like to stop and get drinks/snacks for the room.
We’ve done one day rentals picked up at airport and dropped off near DL then got another to go back but usually we keep it the whole time. Depends on price and what our plans are.

Midwilshuttle Feb 23rd we were charged $160 US to go from Disneyland to the airport.
Also used them to go from airport to Universal.

Used Uber from universal to Disneyland. This worked great, as we didnt know what time we were going to be done at the park, so prebooking a shuttle was not going to work for us.

I recommend Midwilshuttle, everything was good.

Usually a rental car. Just got back a few days ago and as per usual rented through Avis as my hubby gets a corporate discount through his company.

We took a Lyft since there's just two of us, no kids/car seats etc... and minimal luggage. Anything more than that, it's probably more economical to take a shuttle. Also we arrived during rush hour and it was a LOOOONG trip.

If this is your first time flying into LAX - FYI you have to take a transport bus from the terminal to a parking/pickup lot for taxis, shuttles and standard ride shares (I think private car service and maybe Uber Black are allowed into the terminal, but that's it).

We might just use Uber/Lyft to get to Disneyland. (Don’t know if we are flying into SNA or LAX - LAX is currently cheaper) ..we will have 4 adults 1 kid. Can split up if needed.

We are doing split stay Disneyland & Hollywood/Universal. Don’t need car for the Disneyland part of the trip - plus don’t want to pay $40/night for parking. Will rent a car for the Hollywood half of the trip - have an Aparthotel with free parking,

I used karmel shuttles. And on the days I was there and checked Uber. Uber was less than half the price.

We come from Australia and always rent a car from LAX for the duration of our stay. We love having the option to drive to get groceries or visit restaurants outside of the Disneyland area. We also visit the shopping outlets and love driving in the US 😁
