FEBRUARY 2008 WDW travelers post HERE!!!

Sabrina is correct, it IS a seperate ticketed event. Last Year we went and this is how it worked. At 4:30 they began letting Party ticket holders in for the party ( IF you had a MK ticket for park entrance, then obviously you could go in at any time.) The Party started at 7pm. IF you did NOT have a Party ticket/wristband, then you were escorted out. It was fantastic, we loved it and it was indeed worth every penny!!! I believe the advance purchase price we paid was around $40 or so, at the gate the price was closer to $50 - I think.

Be advised though, these dates are tenative and tickets are NOT on sale yet!!!

BUT - we are going!!!!! Whoo Hoo

Pirate & Princess Party Info - Help

Again, as stated above and by others who have replied - This IS a seperate ticketed event. It does NOT matter if you have a park ticket, an AP or anything else. You will still need to purchase a ticket for this event. MK closes period at 7 pm on P&P Party days - it is ONLY open to those who buy a P&P Party ticket!!!!!

Yes, there IS a discount for advanced purchases and I do believe AP holders also got/get a discount.

Please see my above post - but IF you do not have a ticket for THIS event, at 7 pm you will be escorted out of the park! Last year if you had a ticket to the party they were letting you in the park at 4 PM. You did not have to wait until 7PM. I do not know how it will work this year!!

Is it worth it - In my opinion YES!!! We loved it, there are a LOT of characters out, most all the rides are open, there are special things going on, see the above post with the link to allears for a description or search the boards, there are special fireworks and parades. It was a blast and a must do for us again this trip!

Our plan is this - we arrive on the 2nd (the TENATIVE scheduled p&p party day - this IS NOT official yet). check - in to AKL, grab lunch at Mara, head out to do some of DS's fav's , prob. at Epcot. Go back to the room and get ready for the party - partially dress DS in his costume. Head to MK for a 4:10 dinner ADR at Cindy's and be in the park for the start of the Party!!

I hope this helps out with how it works - again, this is what happened last year and I can only assume how it will work this year - no guarantee's though!!!

Beth -

We're you the one going to the race? Did you find a place to stay?
I don't remember your exact post, just something about where you were going to stay? Just wondering if you had any luck? I remember thinking that I wish you had posted earlier, as I would've tried to help you out. My aunt owns a condo at Destination and it became open, but then rebooked almost immediately for race week.

Anyway, I hope you had good luck finding somewhere!

We are going to the race, but we've had a place to stay all along. We made our ressies at ASMo at the beginning of the year. But we did change to off site for Pres. Day weekend (to Windsor Hills) because of the jacked up rates at ASMo for those days. Can't wait!!! It will feel like 2 vacations!

Sorry guys but here's some more questions from a newbie!

We already have res to arrive around noon on Feb 2nd.
We had park passes for the afternoon then booked some
'Magical Fireworks Vogage'.
I'm thinking we should cancel that & get the P&PP instead.
IF we can get into the park around 4 anyway w/ park tickets
should I cancel the park tickets for that day too?

We have the DP too. So where could we make res that is close to the P&PP?

Hope this makes sense!
Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't use regular park tickets that day. Just buy P&P Party tickets and be at the MK at 4:00.

Since you'll be on the dining plan, how about a really late lunch (2:30) at Whispering Canyon or Kona Cafe.

Thanks for the reply.

So I wouldn't I need park passes to get into the park to get to these restaurants before 4:00?

In past, they do allow you into the parks at 4:00 with just the party tickets. But, they could change that since the party does not officially open until 7:00. As far as eating, you could eat at one of the MK resorts or in the MK.

Whispering Canyon is at the Wilderness Lodge. Fromt here, you would take the boat launch to MK. We did that last Decemebr for MVMCP. Kona Cafe is at the Polynesian, so you could take the monorail to the MK or a boat launch.

It is possible that they could change the time they allow party ticket holders in. However, last year we attended MVMCP in Decemebr, P & P in Febraury, and P & P in August. We were alllowed in at 4:00 all three times. The ticket does say 7:00, though.

I have NEVER received a code - so jealous. Pout.

$385 for four nights, plus the tickets. Am I correct in assuming that this was per person based on two adults in the room? Just curious. (And hoping for a code.)
Yes, you are correct that's exactly what the offer was...

wishing for you for a good pin!!

Barncat30-

Clombardi and ash&abby'smom are correct - in the past they HAVE allowed you to enter the park at 4PM with JUST a Party ticket!

IF you choose to save your MK park ticket for that day and just buy a party ticket, then you would NOT be allowed into the park before at least 4PM, therefore, you could not eat INSIDE the park prior to that time.

However, the restaurants that were suggested as stated, are not in the park, they are at the resorts near the park.
*** A suggestion for you, go to allears.net and research the menu/restaurants guide Deb has listed. That will help you with the restarant locations and it also lets you research the menu's and prices.

There are many choices for restaurants, such as the one's suggested that are at the resorts near the MK that you could do.

***But remember, unless you buy and use a MK Park ticket for that day, you cannot enter the park with just a P&P Party ticket until the time stated (7PM) on the ticket, OR as in the past when they allow party ticket holders in, which has been at (4PM). I know it can be confusing, if you have any more questions or need help just ask - as you can see you'll get a lot of help here!!!

Hope to see you at the party and know that you are also invited to the mini meet. AS IS anyone attending the party that night!!!

(AGAIN - NOTHING OFFICIAL for the P&P Party has been released yet. The dates listed above are TENTATIVE dates!)

Hi, all. Rees was discharged from the hospital late last night after 4 days and will have major surgery on Thursday. If a code comes out, would you PM please or email me through the DIS? I won't have access to the computer for about 4 or 5 days.

Thanks! And I wish the dang P&PP tickets would go on sale.

I'm not the expert when it comes to PM'ing and e-mail through Disboards, so don't count on me for the code, but you CAN count on me for a prayer for your son. There's no worse feeling than when your child is ill. Best wishes to him and the rest of your family.

We're going to be at Pop during Mardi Gras week and planning to be at the P&P party if the dates become definite.

Since I am totally new to the code thing :rolleyes1 , correct me if I'm wrong, but other than AAA, is there anything for room only codes? I am going 2/8 - 2/19.

Not yet, but hopefully AP codes will be out soon. There is also a rumor that a new package discount will be available soon. Maybe a discount similar to AAA plus a ticket upgrade to waterparks and hoppers.
