Looking for your favorite resort near Epcot. There will be 5 adults so a great pool is not a high priority. Also one who is not able to walk far so recommendations on best rooms to ask for. Thanks

The only resorts in walking distance to Epcot are Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk and Swan/Dolphin. You can also take the boat to Epcot or Hollywood Studios from any of these as well. Distance-wise, I'd say it's a toss up between Boardwalk and the Beach Club as to which is closer to Epcot. I'd say fairly equal distance with Beach Club Villas being the closest. Boardwalk probably has more of an adult vibe, with some evening entertainment geared towards adults on the boardwalk at Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance Hall, ESPN Club, etc. Swan & Dolphin are the furthest on the opposite side of the lake, and also not Disney operated which has pros and cons. You can't go wrong with any of these though!

We love all of the EPCOT hotels. We love the pool at the YC/BC but also love the night life on the Boardwalk. If you stay in the YC or Boardwalk - you can take a boat to EPCOT - if walking is a problem. You can take a boat from the BC but you have a greater walk to the boat - so you might as well walk to EPCOT. The Boardwalk has a club level deluxe room that is bigger than a regular room it has 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. It has two tvs, one bathroom and a balcony right over the boardwalk. We are a family of 6 so the deluxe room saves us from getting two rooms. Enjoy your trip!

Boardwalk is an awesome resort for adults. The theming, the quiet, the location- love it!

Agreed, Boardwalk is the choice without kids.

I have to say, I have never stayed at BC or YC, but I have stayed at BW twice and loved it!

We once had a room at the beach club that was literally steps away from the entrance of epcot. Can't get much closer. :)

Beach Club! I think we had the same room as the poster above -- Suite 1501!

Beach Club room 1501 is definitely the closest room to Epcot! Epcot is literally a two minute walk door to door.

Reading reviews people say Boardwalk can be noisy at night. Only been to WDW once and never ventured to the Boardwalk area. We will be getting a 50% discount because my girls are working there now. Which club level resort do you think has the best variety of food?

we've stayed at BWV (own DVC there) & BWI, YC, BCV (own there also) & BC.
for an adult - or family with older children - trip, top pick would be either BWI or BWV, followed by the YC. nightly activities on the BW include street entertainers (magicians, rolling piano, etc), carny games, surrey bike rentals, as well as a microbrewery, ESPN, dueling piano bar, dance hall. Flying Fish restaurant is excellent, and a new Italian restaurant has recently opened there. Belle Vue lounge (inside the resort), is a great place to have a drink with friends.....or just to make new friends :goodvibes Despite the nightly activity, the interiors are quiet (and beautifully elegant). I know you said you didn't care about a pool. but BWI has our favorite pool on property - a gorgeous oasis in the middle of WDW:cloud9:.
YC is also a fantastic resort for adults and older children. It is small, quiet, with an upscale nautical theme. YC, along with BC/BCV, about a 10m walk to the BW & its activities.
BC/BCV tend to attract families with very young children, so while still beautiful, tend to have a much higher noise level. YC/BC/BCV share a large pool complex, which many love - we find it just too crowded (lounging or actual swimming is just about impossible) & noisy for our tastes.
we've only visited the swan/dolphin (mostly to pick up a car rental, occasionally to eat) - they are not owned by Disney (no DME, DDP, etc).
all are within a 20m walk (or boat ride) to EPCOT, DHS, and mini-golf.

We've stayed at BWI numerous times and have stayed in rooms that do not overlook the Boardwalk, so we have had no issue with noise. We've stayed club level at BWI and it's very nice. Of the 6 club levels we've stayed in (Poly, GF, CR, YC, AKL and BWI), BWI definitely ranks in the top 3. I've never stayed BC CL, so can't comment on that, however, we have stayed standard view at BC and had a room that was SO CLOSE to EP! It was fantastic. If you your main priority is to be close to EP, BC is the place to go. Request a room close to EP. The other option would be to pick the resort you like and ask for a room close to the boat dock to minimize walking. In this case, you would want to pick BWI or Yacht Club as YC is closer to the boat dock than BC.

Of the three, BWI is definitely our favorite. It's beautifully themed, has great TS and QS options and is a lot of fun at night.

Beach Club woods view rooms are the closest to Epcot by far. If walking to Epcot is the main concern, this is what I would book, requesting a room nearest to the International gateway. There is a pathway leading to a small gate that is literally the shortest walk possible to the IG. These rooms are not the closest to the bus stop, however.
If you want to minimize walking overall you need to get a room near the lobby at the YC or the BW and use the boat to go to Epcot or DHS. YC has the closest bus stop. BW has a bit of a hike to the bus stop on a bit of a slope, if that matters.

All the resorts are lovely in the Epcot area.
