Is there 4 total now with another being built?I enjoyed Starview Lounge at DL the most, I think, but it's hard to compare as the three I've tried all served a different purpose (and, I haven't been to the one in Epcot yet since it was closed when we last tried).
- Starview - mid-day break from the heat / walking / noise. Soda/coffee machines, snacks.
- TOTWL - fireworks viewing, hangout, drinks, etc.
- Disney Springs - shopping break, sit on the balcony and people watch, roam through a Riviera 2BR model. Soda/coffee machines, snacks.
Yes, they're building one at Magic Kingdom (McKim’s Mile House). Is there 4 total now with another being built?
Interesting name. So the DVC welcome center at California adventure isn't a lounge?Yes, they're building one at Magic Kingdom (McKim’s Mile House).
Yeah it's a confusing name. Most people don't know who McKim or what a Mile House is. I think they explained it in the most recent Disney Files issue.Interesting name. So the DVC welcome center at California adventure isn't a lounge?
Is anybody allowed to go to the Golden Vine House or is there a section for jist DVC?Yeah it's a confusing name. Most people don't know who McKim or what a Mile House is. I think they explained it in the most recent Disney Files issue.
And good question, I did visit the Golden Vine House at DCA but I didn't consider it a lounge. Others might disagree but the vibe didn't feel like a lounge and was more focused on sales. I don't recall any drinks or snacks. There's some seating but it was so quiet and the sales people kind of hovered so we didn't feel like we could just chill.
I think it's just one open room and anyone can go in since they're trying to sell DVC.Is anybody allowed to go to the Golden Vine House or is there a section for jist DVC?
Wow had no idea there was assigned seating, but maybe it's a good thing so people don't just put there stuff everywhereI haven't made it to the new Epcot space yet, but so far, Disneyland is my favorite. It's very large and open and a great space to get free snacks and drinks during the day.
I was surprised to learn about the assigned seating approach in Disney Springs (which they said was also how it works in the new Epcot lounge?) It felt a little awkward being taken upstairs and assigned a specific couch and loveseat for my family to sit in.
Or stretch out across two or three seats to take a nap, as we found in the Epcot lounge some years ago, when the seats didn’t have arms on them. Yes, really!Wow had no idea there was assigned seating, but maybe it's a good thing so people don't just put there stuff everywhere
