Favorite Cocktail recipe

We're having a big party on saturday and I just can't think of any good drink (adult) recipes. Any ideas?? There will be @ 70 people and no bartender (just my sisters and I ). Thanks.

I just saw the yummiest recipe on Emeril's last night...he took a 9x13 pyrex pan, and poured in cranberry juice, a can of OJ concentrate and poured in some vodka; stirred it together and put it in the freezer until it turned to slushy sherbet. Then he scooped it into low ball glasses--------it made this pregnant lady SALIVATING for one of those...........ahhhhhhhhhh.........

You could set up a little book with simple drink recipes according to what alcohol you will have there and let the party-goers mix their own.

I have a drink book... let me know what you are supplying and I will see what you can do with them.

Thanks Mary ~ we'll have vodka, rum, tequila,whiskey, malibu and probably wine & beer. I was thinking of maybe a martini type drink thats so popular now. I thought just to have a change from margaritas and pina coladas.

Here are a few that I found...

Pineapple Cocktail
1 oz pineapple juice
1.5 oz rum
1/2 tsp lemon juice

Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass.


Brass Monkey
1/2 oz Rum
1/2 oz Vodka
4 oz Orange juice

Mix the rum & vodka together and stir gently, pour in the orange juice . Shake well. Pour over ice.


Cowboy Roy
4 oz Vodka
4 oz Rum
12 oz Orange juice

Pour into glass and mix.


Caribbean Bliss **Can mix this in a big batch
1 part Vodka
1 part Tequila
4 parts Orange juice

Use chilled orange juice, but no ice.


Malibu Screw(driver)
1 oz Malibu rum
1 oz Vodka
3 oz Orange juice

Add chilled orange juice to the vodka and Malibu. Ice is optional.


Jamaican Screw(driver)
4 oz Malibu rum
4 oz Orange juice
Ice cubes

Mix rum and orange juice together, stir, then pour over ice.


Navel Caribbean Love
3 oz Malibu rum
5 oz Orange juice

Malibu into glass, then slowly pour in the Orange juice.

The summer before last we were in Sequoia National Park and had chocolate martinis, they were great. After we got home we called the restaurant and asked for Errol the bartender and he have us his recipe:

1/4 oz vanilla vodka
1/4 oz kahlua
1/4 oz white creme de cocoa

shake the above in a chilled shaker and pour into a glass that has had chocolate sauce drizzled around on the inside.

Unfortunately I don't have the exact measurements!
But this is how we do it

in a tall glass
one shot peach schnops (sp)
1/2 vodka
fill to the top with Cranberry juice

Being a former bartender....

My favs are Cosmopolitans

1 1/2 ounce citrus vodka
1 ounce triple sec
1 ounce Rose's Lime Juice
splash of cranberry juice just to make it pink

mix in shaker and strain into martini glasses, garnish with lime

My personal favorite.

Bailey's, Chamboard, and Frangelico - equal parts. Some add vodka, but that's a little much for me. Very yummy!

I was recently turned onto a Cosmopolitan. (Vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime juice). Very tasty!

Vodka Slushes

Vodka Slushes

2 large cans frozen orange juice concentrate
2 small cans frozen lemonade concentrate
½ cup white sugar
1 ½-2 cups vodka
6 large cans water

Mix together and freeze. Scoop into glasses with ice cream scoop, pour chilled 7-UP over top and serve.


A favorite for cold weather:
