Fantasmic Thread!

Isn't GRR always down this time of year?

When we watched Fantasmic in November, the misters were much stronger than they were in either May or July.
Yes GRR is always down this time of year and reopens 3/14. He did not know when it would reopen?!
The misters looked strong when I saw the show in August.

I've only seen the show once, and that was last week. To me, it was spectacular and I didn't see anything that looked "off", but since it's the first time I've ever watched the whole thing, I'm not sure I would know if something was missing unless it was very obvious.

I thought it was incredible and I was awed that they could even do so many different effects--magnificent effects--in one show.

Hi. So I was watching a famous well known Disneyland vblogger...he finally reported about the reduced F! showings. But he also said that F! show was in bad shape, the river misters do not work properly and the Rivers of America might have to be drained to fix all the problems fixed. He also said the main stage has a lot of problems. Now get this, he says the full F! schedule may not come back until 2026!! F! was down for a year I am certain DL fixed everthing.
Post your thoughts.
I personally do not believe any of this. He also said Grizzly River Run was going down and not sure when it coming back....hello it is on the website...
So our Disboard info rocks!!

What is considered the full schedule? It has been weekends, holidays and summers for as long as I can remember. As much as I enjoy watching his Youtube, he and many other YouTubers, don’t always have the most accurate information. He did say several times during the update the 70th was beginning on May 21st, not May 16th. So obviously not such accurate information. The way I understood his statement was that the dragon might now be back until 2026. And he gave his opinion that he’d be okay if it went down for 2 years to fix all the issues.

He also kept saying the HM queue would be done in time for HMH. He was about 3 months off on that.

I'm a little confused. Years ago when we went to Disneyland we just lined up about an hour before and watched Fantasmic. Is that still an option? Or do we need to buy a dining package? Or is it just a good dining package guarantees you a better seat but you can line up and still see the show?

We don't go out to California that often but will be there February break and we'll spend the day there on the 21st. We definitely don't want to miss Fantasmic as it's our favorite show.

Dining packages get the waterfront seats. You can still show up and find a place to watch but the early bird gets the worm. Most of the better viewing areas will fill up over an hour before. That said, if you are going in February (a non busy time) and wait for the second show, it should be much easier to find a good viewing spot.

Approximate Timing:
7:45 - 8:55 pm - dining package guests are seated
9:00 - 9:27 pm - first show
9:30 - approx 9:45 pm - fireworks
9:45 pm mass exodus of guests from the first show and fireworks
10:00 - 10:25 pm - second show dining package guests are seated
10:30 - 10:57 pm - second show

Thanks for the advice! It's just my wife and I on this trip and we always stay until close so we will definitely wait for the second showing!

One popular option is fireworks viewing at Galaxy Edge and then move to F! afterwards for 2nd show and still get pretty solid views -- especially in Feb. Bring jackets.

Without a dining package, the best place to view is from on top of the Pirates of the Caribbean bridge. There is a limited amount of space so you'll want to arrive there pretty quickly after fireworks end.

F! packages offered for Sunday March 9th.

Has the menu for the River Belle Premium package changed or is it the same as 2024?

I have a 2 person reservation for the first showing on the 17th, 1:30pm at Rancho’s. I wasn’t sure which weekend i was attending a month ago so I grabbed one for both.

We can work on a time for me to cancel so you can grab it. Priority will go to the folks nice enough to answer my questions then FCFS

I was just looking at this, and it appears it has. We are not going until March 9, so I can't say for sure, but the menu listed does not seem to match what I remember seeing previously when I was doing some trip research. I'm not sure the options sound as interesting to me.
