Extended Evening Hours Questions and Answers

I have a transportation question!

I don't want to assume, so my question is: we would like to be at HS for the Fantasmic show at 9PM, then head to Magic Kingdom, which is open until 11PM anyway, for EEH. Will the bus from HS to MK be running for us that late to do this?

Hello! This question is likely answered somewhere in this thread, so forgive me if it's a repeat. If you are not eligible to attend EEH (i.e., not staying at a deluxe resort), can you be remain in the park during EEH and just not ride the rides?

Thank you.

There isn’t any way to know which guests in the park are eligible for EEH but, it’s intended for eligible guests. Also there really isn’t much/anything to do. Food and shopping is very limited and attractions require scanning.

It’s best to leave the park when EEH begins, especially if you are using Disney transportation as it won’t be impossible to get to a non-deluxe resort but buses will be few and far between once non- eligible guests have left.

That's helpful. Thank you!

I should add, I’m not sure if guests not eligible for EEH would be allowed to enter stores or purchase food. I know with hard ticket parties (eg mnsshp) guests that don’t have a party wrist band can no longer purchase food or enter a store once the party begins.

We’ve been to EEH a few times and I’ve never seen any checks other than at the ride entrances. They are happy to take your money at the gift shops and snack bars whether you are a deluxe guest or not.

Can someone just summarize the benefit and value of extended evening hours at Epcot? We are staying at the dolphin.

Benefit and value are in the eye of the beholder. You may get shorter lines at the end of the EEH, it doesn't cost anything extra if you are already staying deluxe, so if you are not tired, stay. Not all the park is open, but once park close starts, non deluxe resort guests cannot enter the lines for attractions. If they are in line at park close, they stay in line. Right now, with Test Track closed, there are less attractions to experience. You can get in line for Guardians without the VQ now, so it could be an opportunity to ride for those who may not have had one before.

Has anybody been monitoring the wait for GOTG during EEH since they went off VQ?

We are going to be at the Yacht Club in September and was wondering about bus transportation from MK to the Yacht Club after EEH is over. I will be in a scooter so using an Uber is not an option.

The buses will run until all guests have been sent on their way after EEH. The later it gets, the more likely that one bus will take guests to several resorts (e.g., might go to YC, BC, and BW), but Disney won’t leave you stranded.

Last week, the actual reported wait times between 9 and 10 pm were 40-45 minutes with posted waits up to 70 minutes.

There were no wait times reported after 10 pm but the posted wait dropped to 45 minutes at 10:30 then to 40 minutes after that.

Based on recent evenings with regular operating hours, the actual wait was probably half of what was posted.

The calendar is currently rolled out through May 10, but checking from the beginning of April shows:
  • Magic Kingdom consistently has EEH on Wednesday
  • For April, EPCOT has EEH on Monday, and the first Monday in May shows Animal Kingdom with EEH.

Never mind. Found the answer. Now to make some decisions.
