Are guests already in line at the start of EEH allowed to stay in queue? If so, how does this impact the wait times at the most popular rides? We would like to ride Tron in MK during EEH but don’t really want to stay for the whole evening. We are going during the first 10 days of April this year.

If they are in the line then yes they can ride. But once park close hits, anyone entering the line is checked to ensure they qualify for eeh

As pp said, they are allowed to stay in line, but I'm always surprised how quickly the wait times go down. If you don't want to stay for the entire two hours, you could just prioritize Tron and then head out when you're done riding. You may wait for a bit, especially since Tron is so popular, but it should be a much shorter wait time than during the day. With that being spring break time, the waits may be a bit high, even during EEH.

I know you mentioned that you "don't really want to stay for the whole evening", but I'll throw out this data point. Last week, during the last 30 minutes of EEH at MK, I was able to ride TRON 4 times. And I know that PotC isn't the most popular ride, but with about 50-55 minutes remaining in EEH, I was able to walk on and have a boat all to myself with empty boats in front of me and behind me.

IMHO, the last hour of EEH is when you can get the most done because a lot of people can't keep the whole family rolling that late.

I think I did 7DMT at the beginning of EEH, and its line moved fairly quickly; maybe 20-25 minutes?

This has definitely been our experience at MK EEH, especially for the Fantasyland rides. In September we waited like 10 min for Mine Train and Pan each in that last hour. Saved Tron for the very end of the night and it was basically a walk on. I think that side of the park clears out faster because of the families who can’t hang + people seem to beeline for Tron at the start of the night.

sorry to jump into this thread, but this upcoming trip will be the first time going that they have had EEH
I'll be at Deluxe Resorts for the entire trip which is 12 nights.
Am I right in thinking we should try to do the most popular rides during EEH ? And do the rest during the morning? Have a break for lunch and swim in the afternoon ??

We can't afford LLMP so maybe this is a good strategy?

We did this on our 9-day trip this past Aug/Sep (although we did buy MPLL for 4 days). We struggled to get up and to rope drop but it was really worth it. We’d do what we could during the morning hours, have lunch, and back to the Swan for a nap before hopping to a new park. Made EEH really worth it and we probably could’ve done without the MPLL, with the exception of HS, but really, we hopped to that park several times during our trip that we probably shouldn’t have bothered with the LL. But we also were there during a less busy time of year so YMMV.

Awesome, we are pretty early risers on Vacation so usually do rope drop or close to it. I feel we are paying the extra already by renting DVC so may as well take advantage of the EEH.
Is there a schedule for them? And how soon does that schedule get released?

Typically Mondays are at Epcot and Wednesdays are at Milford 2-hrs after park closes. During the party seasons, MK doesn’t tend to have them and the Wednesdays are at a different park. I’m fairly certain you can see the park that’s having EEH in the WDW calendar.
