Curious if anybody here has had any experience with Airofit PRO (or other breathing trainers).

I started getting targeted instagram ads for this, and so far targeted instagram ads have never steered me wrong. I've gotten skillets, tiki mugs, and yoga training videos that I absolutely love. It's like they know exactly what I need.

Anyway, this seems like a good way to improve cardio fitness as a supplement to training (especially HIIT training), and third-party reviews all seem really positive. Since I'm focused on improving my VO2 MAX this summer, it seems worthwhile, though at $300+ the price tag is steep.

Anybody here used it, or a similar product, and have any thoughts of recommendations? It is worthwhile? Only useful if you're already an elite athlete?

There is no doubt respiratory muscle training is essential to improve running. Restrictive breathing devices like this have been around for many years. Without a specific need (medical need) for such a device, I am not sure they aid much. Running itself is going to improve breath capacity, especially if you include interval training. Here are a couple articles on this issue. The first discusses the use of such devices in a study done several years ago. The second discusses how to improve your breathing for better running.

Thanks for the info, and taking the time to dig up those articles for me! I will take a look. đź‘Ť
