Enchante Dessert Experience on the Treasure?

We enjoyed an AMAZING dessert experience at Remy on the Fantasy last year. We are cruising on the Treasure this October. Does Enchante offer a dessert experience too? I haven't seen it mentioned in any of the numerous videos that I've watched online.

I’ve looked and asked, it doesn’t look like they are. I thought I read that they are focusing on lunch instead of the dessert experience.

Maybe down the road they will offer it. Crossing fingers. It was spectacular on the Fantasy.

They used to offer it on the Wish before switching to lunch. It seems like lunch has been rather successful, so there's no time for the dessert tasting. :(

Just off back to back on the Treasure, and spent quite a bit of time chatting with Benoit, the outstanding Enchanté manager. We asked about the dessert experience, and he said that while it as well as brunch will continue at Remy on the Dream/Fantasy, the Wish-class ships are now committed to lunch/dinner only. They have also eliminated the specific lunch menu that was available a few months ago, and serve the same full menus at lunch and dinner. This change was made at the direction of Chef Lallement, who has sole responsibility for Enchanté as opposed to the shared direction of Remy, and who wanted each diner to have a complete experience as he designed it. This menu has a regular 5+ course option, a vegetarian 5+ course option, and the “Collection” menu, which is a surprise assortment of more and newer dishes. There are also a la carte items, and the possibility to make substitutions based on dietary requirements/preferences. The extras (amuse bouche, cheeses, dessert bites, etc.) continue to be part of the experience, and champagne/wine pairings are also offered as well as a very cool port cart (the vintage 1994 was magnificent!). We ate lunch twice there over the two cruises, as we found that we much prefer having a large meal then v. late into the evening, and had two different but equally delectable experiences. Because lunch can extend well into the afternoon, there is no longer time to offer the dessert experience and still prepare for the dinner seatings.

Thanks for this update! While I'm sure it's disappointing for many, I can appreciate the thought process/rationale.

Benoit was at Enchante on the Wish when we sailed a few years ago and is the best! Glad to hear he's still being used to helm the new experiences. Thank you for the thoughtful description of the situation, it's always interesting to hear how they make the decisions they make. Our meal at Enchante was fabulous (vegetarian FWIW) so I suppose I can see why they'd rather just double down on that.

I get the rationale to serve the same menu at Enchante for lunch and dinner on the Wish since is only sailing 3/4 day itineraries. A lot of people don’t want to miss out on the MDR dinner shows I think and were not booking Enchante for dinner with Palo also a less expensive option too. We booked Enchante for our first night dinner since we weren’t interested in the MDRs having late dining on a wish 3 day. They contacted me through the on board app to contact them about our reservation. It ended up that we’re were the only party booked for enchante that evening and they wanted to know if we wanted to move it to lunch another day since it was the same menu. We agreed and did lunch instead and went to the Frozen MDR instead. I’m sure they were happy to have the night off. We did not enjoy anywhere near Remy and decided not to book it on our upcoming sailing. For a 7 day sailing they should not be offering the same for lunch and dinner, it should be brunch and dinner similar to Palo.

I agree they should offer the brunch. The full menu is of no interest to me, but I would do the dessert again or try a brunch.
My thoughts. Pastry teams typically are smaller and it a big undertaking for the dessert experience. It’s a new kitchen crew and doing the same twice (lunch and dinner) is easier. Also they make more money on the full menu especially with the wine pairings.

It definitely changes my plans for Echante when sailing on the Wish. We like to have dinner with our children and on a 3 or 4 night cruise I feel there just isn't enough time for a 3 hour lunch without missing other activities.

Also, I understand it's the chef's perogative but I don't agree with the reasoning of wanting to only offer the 'full experience'. Many of our fine dining experiences including Michelin, have been lunch menus and were amazing. It is a fantastic way to experience fine dining at a reduced cost with an abbreviated menu while the service and ambiance remain the same. I suppose we'll see how it works out and perhaps I'm in the minority.

What was the price of the vegetarian menu?

I agree. Committing to a lengthy meal service is only something I would do on subsequent cruises on a particular ship. First time on a ship and for shorter cruises I’d have FOMO for all the other activities I could be doing.
