DVC Digital Member Card - How To Download Only, not comments about it

My does not have the … only the I with the circle and clicking on that shows the dvc info plus QR code. Remember you have to be in the wallet app, you can not double click the home button like you would to do Apple Pay. Yes the card will show but you will not get the I with the circle.

What version of iOS your iPhone is running will determine if you have the i in a circle or the 3 dots in a circle. Apple changed it from the 3 dots to an i within the last version or 2 of iOS.

Hmm…if you choose the I and it doesn’t flip, then definitely delete it and try again. That is all I need to do to show the DVC affiliation.

Good to know. I don’t remember anything other than the i. My phone does the auto update thing so that is probably why I don’t remember the dots.

So I had my DVC card in my Apple wallet for several years with no issues. Just upgraded to iPhone 15 pro and am not able to download the card again (it did not transfer from my old phone). When I go to MDE, click the 3 lines at bottom, it no longer says Disney Mobile Magic anywhere. Only thing close is Set up MagicMobileEntry which is just for my annual pass. Any suggestions? Membership does show in my profile

The Magic Mobile Entry pass that you use for the AP is the same as the DVC card.

ETA: So not sure what worked, but I deleted phone from profile then added it back. Then made sure my phone and email were correct in Apple wallet. Restarted my phone, and now it shows!

There is only the Disney MagicMobile Pass. If you go to the Apple Wallet, select the Disney MagicMobile Pass then touch the little i to the top right, that will flip the card over and there the Affiliation should show your DVC perk eligibility. For DVC, it will show either "DVC-Y" or "DVC-NO". DVC-Y means you are entitled to perks & discounts. If you have an AP, the Affiliation will show "ANNUAL".

Well, if you purchased resale a long time ago, you could be grandfathered in to be eligible for discounts. So I don't think "ND" would mean "Not Direct."

DH was just having issue using Apple wallet for DVC, and it turned out those ^ were the reasons.

What's the difference between "the wallet" and "the wallet app"?

The wallet itself is quickly accessible by double clicking, like for when you want to open a payment card at a store to make a make a purchase or scan a store loyalty card etc. You can use the Disney card here just like a MagicBand to tap in the park, LL, room, etc. But there’s no info listed on the card when accessed inside the wallet. Instead you have to go into the wallet app to access the info.



^That’s in my actual wallet. There is nowhere to get the details on my ‘Disney’ card.
It’s just to use the card with a reader. You can also enable the ‘Reader’ ability so you don’t even need to open phone, just tap it.

I’m not sure your instructions need to be updated. I was pointing out for people already familiar with this system and they’re wondering why it’s not working as they expected -
You can no longer get your card details from inside the wallet like you used to,
And now the 2 cards have been merged into one card.

DH was already familiar with this system but when he went to make sure everything was updated for our upcoming trip, he couldn’t get it to work, because he was expecting how it worked previously. So when he followed instructions, like the ones that came out in 2022, it did not help because he was trying to access a separate DVC card (now merged/hidden inside his AP card) and the DVC-Y info can’t be accessed from anywhere inside the wallet (like when he was previously able).

Do not know if this is always the case, but we recently purchased two new iPhones. We did the usual transfer of everything to them from the prior phones. But unlike everything else in the wallet app, the DVC member card did not transfer and we had to add it. Thus, if one gets a new iPhone check to make sure you have the member card on it before your next trip to Disney.

I had to do the same thing - add my MagicMobile card back to my wallet on my new iPhone. I was glad that I had noticed the link to do it when I was using the MDE app for something else a few days prior. And I was amused to see that it still says ANNUAL, when my AP expired over a year ago!

I have an IPhone, but have never used Apple Wallet. I print out a temporary card before we go, good for 1 month from time of printing, and have never had an issue using it for DVC discounts.
