Hi all! We just got home from a 7 day cruise on the Disney Wonder in Alaska. We just joined DVC at the end of June, so we were excited to hear about the daily gifts for DVC members.
Here is what we received over the course of the week, checking into the desk each day:
*Lanyards
*Lip balms (same as we picked up from the DVC center in Disney Springs in July)
*Hats! This was our favorite gift. White ball caps embroidered with the DVC logo on the front and Member in the back.
*Towel clips for your pool chair (so useful for Alaska...)
*Drawstring bags
*Luggage tags
*Member at Sea MB sliders
In addition, we attended the DVC welcome event that included free sparkly blue wine or NA Cloudem Blue drinks and a cute little Family Feud-style gameshow themed to Disney/DVC.
We also went to a DVC Member social hour later in the trip, held in Cove Cafe. (ETA: This event did not appear in the navigator; we only learned about it by speaking with the guides at the desk.) DVC treated members to their first drink (whatever you wanted to order - I got an excellent turmeric oat latte and Hubs got a coffee spiked with Baileys and Kahlua, I think? Something the bartender recommended). Additionally, they gave us wooden coasters shaped like Mickey heads that have the Stay Magical slogan on them. We had a nice time chatting with another member there until it was time to head to dinner.
Finally, we went to one of the DVC open presentations. I didn't pick up any price charts bc, well, we blew all our fun money when we bought in June , so I don't know if there were any cruise-specific specials. The thank you gift for attending this was a Mickey DVC pin. (The first time we cruised Disney in 2023, the incentive for non-members to attend was a $50 stateroom credit I believe, so this seemed like a little bit of a downgrade .)
Oh! Also, when we got to our stateroom on the first day, there was a Welcome Home magnet on our door. That was a sweet surprise. We didn't know if we were allowed to take it home with us so we didn't, but it was still appreciated.
