My dog has taken up eating ant mounds. :crazy2: Yesterday I caught her lapping up an ant hill. Ants were going crazy around her. When I finally got her away from it she had ants all over her mouth. They were crawling on her whiskers, up her nose and all over her face. :lmao: I guess she is not getting enough protein in her diet. :rotfl2:

Maybe she is part dog, part goat, and part anteater! :rotfl:

mine the other day just wanted to get this big black ant looking thing that had pinchers..i kept telling him no no..but he did it anyways..i thought it bit his tongue or something but a few minutes later i was petting him and i pulled up his lips and there it was pinched to his lip..i screamed at my husband to help me get it off....ewww...guess he wont do that again..

My Scotties try to lick toads. Does that count? If a toad is successfully licked, the dog will drool for nearly an hour.

My dog stands sentry at the back door where the carpenter bees have made a nest. When one flies out, the dope catches it in her mouth, gives it a shake then spits it out. At least she's not eating them. :confused3

My dog-in-law likes to snack on dried up worms from the driveway. She also eats parrot poo.

Dog-in-law. :rotfl2:

Don't worry, it may not be an appetite for ants at all. Maybe you are lucky and all she wants is some dead critter that they built a mound around.

Would that be better? :)

Since the only ant mounds I have ever been around are always from fire ants, I can't imagine a dog trying that more than once. ;)

Yep! :thumbsup2 I have 2 dogs-in-law and 3 parrots-in-law.

I live in an apartment right now, so no pets. I just get to enjoy my pets-in-law in the meantime.

Luckily they are only small black ants. I can't imagine her eating fire ants. The ants crawling all over her face didn't seem to faze her one bit, as she keeps seeking the mounds out. Who needs an exterminator when you have a dog :teeth:

Ugggh, I'm so glad my dog isn't the only one that eats poo. I just thought he was dropped on his head as a puppy. He also loves to lick my teenage son's feet - especially after soccer practice. He's not a well dog.

Shenzi hasn't eaten any ants (to my knowledge), but she eats everything else...june bugs, roly polys, pigeon poop, weeds, other bugs, bluetooth headsets...

My doggie doesn't eat anything gross, just strange: webcams (if I am not in the room and it slides off the monitor to the floor, it's dog chow) and plush Stitch's. :confused3

Fortunately not. We have a mini ant invasion in my house at the moment, and my dog had the good sense to not touch her dog food which was swarming with ants. Ewww!
