DL 2-day hopper pass

We're passing through DL on our way home from Hawaii, and have allotted 2 days at the parks. Is it cheaper to get the 2-day park hopper on the Disneyland website or to buy it at the gate?

I too am looking at 2 day hoppers, and I think you only get a discount for buying them in advance for 3 days or longer.
