Well, it looks like the luggage pilot program at Pop was a success! They've already made it an official perk and it's available at all resorts as of today!

Just heard Disney is bringing back Airline baggage check for value resorts for Southwest only. Hopefully for Magic Express too! Also hoping they will add other airlines and resorts.

Does Pop Century have anything like lemonade or fruit punch at the self serve beverage stations that are not carbonated? I am on a medicine that makes carbonated beverages taste awful. That just happens to be one of the side effects. I haven't had anything carbonated in over a half year. Thanks.

Yes, that's correct. I apparently forgot to put that important word -- "Value" -- in my post. *I* knew it was Value resorts but I forgot to hand out my free "read my mind" rings to everyone this morning. I've never understood getting up early to stand in a line for 1.5 hrs for RD vs. sleeping in and standing in a ride line. Either way you are standing in a line. I'll take my extra sleep.

I had a conversation with someone on the bus who insisted getting up at 6am to rope drop tron was the correct decision, they didn’t get off Tron until 9:30am…….. it had nothing to do with maximizing park time either because they left around 3 hours prior to close with us! A young couple early 20’s too. I didn’t want to press them too hard but I saw Tron with a 70 minute wait quite a few times throughout that day. It just feels so stressful going from waiting spot to waiting spot plus Tron isnt even open for early entry.

I don’t wait in line to rope drop but the idea is that you are waiting during non-park hours and are not wasting the park time.

We all travel differently but for me I don’t like to sleep much when I’m on vacation. If I wake up and it’s already light out it means I missed something.

This was the girls first trip in over 5 years since COVID she said. She had no idea how things have changed. What matters is an objective analysis. They set alarms to get up they said, thus not natural early risers. They lined up for bus at 6:30am and left Tron at 9:30am. Thus to get to magic kingdom and ride Tron it took them 3 hours that is 180 minutes. From pop to MK it takes about 20-45 minutes depending on if you make the bus. When we were on the bus Tron was a 70 minutes wait. Right mow Tron is a 75 minute wait. Thus from a savings time perspective they didn’t save time and also rope dropping is notoriously stressful.

The rationality behind rope dropping is to help accomplish everything you want to do in the park before it closes. Since the aforementioned party was able to leave 3 hours before the park closed, I count that as a huge success.

Well actually they didn’t accomplish everyone they wanted to accomplish, it was just they wanted to rope drop guardians the next day and had to be up again extremely early to do so. People gotta sleep

I believe so, a blue Powerade drink and a Vitamin Water drink?

I think Pop beverage dispensers also have that pomegranate lemonade that is non-carbonated.

That's correct; and only for Southwest Airlines passengers. Fingers crossed that other airlines will be able to participate soon. I'm glad they started with the Value Resorts with a nice perk instead of only Deluxe getting those add ons.
