Preparations Begins For the Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort​

Well, with the holiday season just around the corner, the Grand Floridian Bakery team is getting ready to work.

When visiting the resort today, we noticed that space had been cleared in the Grand Floridian lobby and tile had been laid down.

Soon, the smell of gingerbread will be wafting through the Grand Floridian Resort’s lobby, and guests can watch another holiday masterpiece come to life!

Work Begins on the Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Bakery artisans and construction crews are already working hard in the Grand Floridian lobby, building this year’s gingerbread house!

The building’s infrastructure is currently being installed before the gingerbread festivities begin in earnest.

Here is another look at the infrastructure of the house.

As you can see, construction crews are on hand to ensure everything is installed correctly.

The entire area is roped off. A sign out front notes that Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Gingerbread House is coming soon!

With just two days until Halloween, the holiday season will arrive in full at Walt Disney World before we know it.

NEW Grand Floridian Resort Loungefly Minnie Ears & Backpack

There are two new Grand Floridian items available now in Curiouser Clothiers at the resort!

Bag - $89

Ears - $44.99

First up, we have these new Minnie Ears.

These look very similar to the other Grand Floridian ears we’ve seen here in the past, but they’ve been slightly redesigned.

These eras are made by Loungefly, so they’re a little more expensive at $44.99.

They have the Grand Floridian logo on the ears and on the pendant in the middle of the bow.

There is also a matching Loungefly mini backpack to go with these ears!

The front pocket is light blue with the Grand Floridian logo.

The pattern is even on the inside of the front pocket…

…and the main part of the backpack.

The side pockets are light blue and the zippers are embroidered with gold.

The back also has the pattern and the straps are light blue!

The Grand Floridian Gingerbread House Is Finished!

The year’s Grand Floridian gingerbread house is truly a sight to behold.

If you look closely, you will notice that the house’s address reads “1999.” That refers to the first year the gingerbread house was constructed.

The backside of the gingerbread house also features a large sign that reads” established 1999.

Took over 4 hours for a room to be ready. Gf tends to not start cleaning rooms until late so it’s always harder here to get a room early. IMO.

However I just love these newer rooms. I have been lucky enough to have been in them several times. Hands down my fav non suite room!

Well except a private party in front of gaspies , that always makes me jealous!

Oh just the ramp from gaspies leaving on the left was closed that I noticed.

Wow Citricos is closed Mondays and wow GGG and GFC are packed! Lots of people waiting around. I don’t remember it this busy other than Tgiving or Xmas week.
