Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Here’s a fun fact: There are 38 different resorts, most have different expresso machines and 1 company serving them. YC machine breaks down constantly and is down now !!!
I've never met a club level espresso machine that didn't break down constantly. I'm genuinely surprised when one makes it through an entire breakfast period.

Sounds like such a whiney/trivial thing to say, but I’ve grown to really dislike those big Nespresso machines Disney uses. I don’t know the brand but there’s a model with a touch screen I frequently see in places like Delta Sky Clubs and they had two in the Wish concierge lounge. They grind the beans fresh, make all sorts of beverages, and are pretty idiot proof. And fast. Those big silver Nespresso machines are like dinosaurs by today’s standards.

I love the touch screen ones they are so much easier. Coronado has one in their lounge. Give me fresh ground beans over a tin with months old ground coffee any day. Even with CMs in more than one resort trying to teach me to use the other ones I still can't do it😂

I won’t use the old, big machines anymore. Refuse to wait on line. Coronado and WL both have the touchscreen and they’re great. Never a line!!

That is so true. I was noticing that last week at Delta. Starbucks also has that. Watching the beans being ground per your order.

GDT actually has two espresso machines. Stroke of genius because when one breaks, nbd!

Ended up having a great trip! We were upgraded to the presidential suite! I’m not sure why, possibly because the crane was directly over the two bedroom suite I could see it our whole trip.
Great update and that is an appropriate alternative / update since you had the 1 BR TPV. Yes it was because the crane was up and block your view from your balcony. It might not have worked out if your trip was a much longer visit.

It was the 2 bedroom but ya I was worried about being moved but this was a good move

It was great! They were really helpful with my baby’s egg allergy too. We ate breakfast every morning there and some of our dinners and all desserts.
Great to hear. Last time I was there, I noticed the chefs personally coming out being very helpful to various allergies or special diets for some of the other guests.
Glad to hear you had a good trip.

Yes the chef was great! My parents babysat one night so we could go to Victoria and Albert’s and the kids food had egg in it so he made her chicken nuggets which was so helpful especially since we weren’t there

Just back from a two night stay at CSR Chronos Club. Absolutely phenomenal time as always.
Our last time there was a quick one night visit on Thanksgiving. A few notable changes since then:
  • Added a few sweet options to the breakfast offerings (french toast sticks, crepes with whipped cream/chocolate/berries)
  • Added some more substantial offerings to the snack offerings. Uncrustables are now set out whole in package rather than cut in half. Along with the same snacks (packaged chips/trail mix, pretzels and banana chips, rice krispee treats, crudites and dips), they now also had out a cookie bar (comes out at dessert as well), and a rotation of mini deli sandwiches and a nice cheese platter, pan con tomate and stuffed sweet peppers, or fresh tortilla chips with guacamole or pico de gallo (Three Bridges recipe)
  • Dinner offerings were largely the same as we'd previously experienced. They had a new tuna poke offering we didn't love, but also have replaced the heart of palm cakes with a delicious salmon cake.
  • Despite more than one report in FB groups that they now have Mickey ice cream bars on demand, it is still the same situation as before where they only have them if available up at Toledo, which is hit or miss. Not available any of the 3 days we were there, but they were glad to check for us.
Tons of great cast interactions, a lot of familiar faces from our past trips. They very kindly packaged us up a bunch of to go boxes of food yesterday at 4pm just before we left to the airport, grabbing us whatever was already available from the back even before they put the dinner service out. My husband raved about the olives, and the chef shared the ingredient list with him so he can try to recreate at home.
I'll try to update this post, or respond to it, with some food photos!

We are here for the runDisney Springtime Challenge which we will attempt concurrently with the Old Faithful Club Cobbler Challenge, in which we will try to have all the varieties of cobbler that are rotated each evening. Tonight was the apple cranberry. A la mode, of course.

We checked into the Wilderness Lodge with regular Resort View room that we booked with a bounce back discount and added the Club Lounge access when we checked in.
