Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hard to tell for sure but it would appear the lounge balconies are currently inaccessible.
Oh I really hope not! We will be there the 29, and I had really been looking forward to watching the fireworks from the lounge, as some of my kids are too scared to watch them from MK. I do remember from our last visit there were some small windows in the hall on the way to our room that you could see them from at least.

You can also catch the MK Fireworks from the concrete area on Bay lake right next to Geyser Point. And it is a great place to watch the Electric Water Pageant (ELP) as it passes the WL.

The scaffolding may even by gone before the 29th as they continue the roof sealing and painting.

Does it have a room capacity of 2? Both those rooms are indeed on the 14th floor (Tower Club) with MK views (and huuuge balconies). Lots of pics in this thread, I have stayed in both and posted images. I love those rooms!! Enjoy!
The room category indeed states up to 2 guests.

I've had a chat with a sales representative on the WDW website, they could not confirm our room was on the 14th floor. He went ahead and filed a request.

Obviously won't be a dealbreaker if we're not Tower, though it's always kind of infuriating making easy things such as “booking rooms and knowing what you get” is always such a mess with Disney.

That room is on 14. Love Disney but their reservation CMs are terrible at real details. :-)

Haven't seen you on the boards in awhile, hope all is well and hope you enjoy Tower Club! It's a real gem.

Hi all. Our family is planning a celebration trip at the end of June/beginning of July (leaving on July 4th). Our daughter is graduating high school, and my husband and I have "milestone" birthdays this year. We have done WDW many times, so it seems fitting to celebrate this way. But we have only done club level once, several years ago at YC. We are looking for input from the experts who have been more recently - what do you currently love about the different club levels? What would you be considering, if you were deciding for yourself and your family? I have to eat gluten free, so if you have any club level input related to that, it's appreciated.

Also, any other special things/activities/meals/events that you have done over the past couple of years that you are really glad you did? We are big fans of AH, so if they are going on at that time, we will likely go. We get park hopper tickets, and we have been enough times that we are fine with quite a bit of resort time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! I have been looking through the thread, and I appreciate everyone's reviews!

I find that first part so hard to answer - all the resorts and CLs have so many various nuances pros/cons I could find things I love (and maybe don't love) about all of them. I tend to always think resort/location first, then CL second, when making choices. Disney's CL product is 'relatively' standard resort to resort (although there are certainly differences in lounge/food/etc) - but generally speaking more of your vacation is impacted by the resort/resort amenities/location itself than the CL part, so that's where my bias tends to be.

So is it three of you? Are y'all all OK in a normal hotel room or would you prefer more space/rooms?

As for special things - I haven't done one in a bit but a Fireworks Cruise either for MK or Epcot always ranks pretty high in popularity for a special evening.

If you want to go big (and $$) for a park day you could consider a VIP tour. Those are always a nice treat.

It's corny but we've always enjoyed Hoop de do Review for a family meal/event - it's just plain fun and we all always leave smiling/laughing, although the food is nothing to write home about.

Several folks on this thread have experience with CL and gluten free so hoping they'll chime in with feedback on that part.

Good luck planning!

Thank you so much for your reply! Yes, it is the three of us. We have stayed at many of the resorts, although in terms of those with Club Level, we have never stayed at the Poly, Grand Floridian, Contemporary tower, or Animal Kingdom. Usually we are in the Epcot area so we can walk to two parks, but no one in the family seems particularly attached to that this round. Room size isn't particularly important, as we tend to spend our time out of the room. But, given that it is summer, we may spend more time there with the afternoon storms.

In all likelihood, we are down to Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian.

We have considered the tour. I'm not sure that we have attention spans for that long, though. I'm open to thoughts. And the fireworks cruise sounds good!

That's lovely to hear! DW and I were hesitating between a MSC Cruise in Yacht Club and this room… well it looks like the Yacht Club is going to be postponed. :rolleyes1

Oh thank you! Hope the same for you. We switched vacationing from WDW to DCL post-Covid and I have to confess I am less active than before between cruises. Now obviously everything changed and I have a lot of reading before our next trip 🤣

We really love Poly club level. It just feels like vacation to us and we enjoy watching MK fireworks from the lounge with drinks and dessert. It’s a busy yet still relaxing resort. I can’t speak to eating gluten free there, however.

Of the others you listed, I like visiting GF and Contemporary, but have never wanted to stay there necessarily. I’ve been tempted by Contemporary because that’s where we stayed when I was growing up, so it feels nostalgic to me. And I know many people love AKL, but if I’m staying Deluxe I want more transportation options than just busses.

Instead of the tour, consider a Premier LL pass for the parks. A fraction of the cost and you can do the rides that are included at any time during the day.

We were happy enough with LLMP and LLSP but I can see Premier Pass being a good alternative to someone considering a VIP tour.

Top tip going forward- do not listen to chat. Don’t even ask them stuff, it’s entirely possible Disney bus drivers are more accurate…

Just coming to make the same comment. Enjoy!!! This is the view you’ll have from your balcony!

Oh thanks for that photo, it's looks so amazing! And that room is sold as “resort view”…
Yes and it is a view of the "Resort" it just happens to encompass the entire Seven Seas Lagoon and the MK. In the reevaluation system they needed a way to distinguish these 2 King rooms on the Tower Club level (14th floor) from the regular King rooms on the Atrium Club floor (12th floor).

Just don't look directly down from the expansive balcony or you will see the CR parking lots...

Just to add when they changed category names they messed up . Both kings are the same TPV as the Atrium side TPV rooms.

The rooms are next to the lounge so it’s easy to grab stuff and sit in the balcony.

Old map but 4911, 4912 are the 2 kings and you can see location on the floor.IMG_2907.png

Good morning! ☀️
Due to a DCL Destiny Concierge trip 🚢 booked next spring, we are trying a more cost-efficient Gran Destino/ CSR CL trip this spring (instead of our normal GF RPC CL).
Thoughts on how enjoyable CSR CL is compared to Deluxe Resort CLs?
TIA!!!!

I just wanted to provide some information about the Deluxe club level rooms at WL for reference. We recently stayed twice in two different rooms (before and after a cruise), two nights each stay.

These deluxe rooms are on levels 1-5, they are right at the end of the left side when looking at the lake. So have good views of the lake. The rooms have two queen beds and a pullout queen couch bed and a bathroom. The rooms have club level access, but you need to make your way to level 7. It’s a long walk to the elevators to get to level 7, and then long walk on level 7 to get to the food - but the food is motivation, and by long I am not talking Epcot long or even AKL corridor long 😀. Like other club rooms they will fill your fridge with drinks.

We were able to leave some luggage with bell service in “long term storage” while we went on our cruise, so helpful as we left two suitcases behind for 7 days.

The reason for my post is to point out some differences between the rooms we had.

Our first stay was in room 2003. This room is on the corner of the left wing on the right, so you can see the pool, great view of geyser.
This room does connect to room 2002 - so if you need even more space it is possible.
This room has a walled in balcony, while it is good to stand on And watch the electrical parade you can’t sit and see anything. It feels cold and dark.
The bathroom has two entrances, one from the bedroom and one from the entrance hallway - very convenient.
The couch bed is beyond uncomfortable 😀
There is a set of stairs about 10m from the room that you can use to exit to level 1 and then there is an exit door from building right there, so it is less then 2 minute walk to boat.

Our second stay was in room 4003. Same location just two floors higher. This room connects to room 4002.
This room has a railed balcony, better great view of the electrical parade, and you can lean over and see some of the fireworks (not a great view). Nice to sit out here on balcony (when it’s warm).
The bathroom only has one entrance from the bedroom, not as convenient. The sink area is not as big.
This couch bed is also beyond uncomfortable 😀
The same set of stairs can be used to exit the building, just have to walk 4 levels - good for going down but more effort after a long day (but still more convenient than the elevator that is a long way away.

Hope this information helps some one.
