You are definitely going to do a lot of walking at BWI/BWV. There's really no way around it since it's a lot of units in a non-tower configuration. I think the main point is that it's pretty much a wash between the varying view categories. If you need to use the elevators the only thing that makes a real difference distance wise is how close you are to them.


I have never noticed that. There are blackout curtains on all of the windows/patio doors.

I agree with Dave. I've had villas facing the feature pool and facing the quiet/DVC pool many times each. I've never thought there was any significant difference in the time it took to walk to the elevators.
I will add, on our last visit, we were given a first floor villa. I initially wasn't thrilled but it turned out to be amazing in terms of getting in and out of the building quickly and rarely needing the elevators.

OH! Speaking of "the long boring hallway" that you mentioned @Dave006, I hate the new carpet since the refurb! It couldn't be any more boring! I now realize that that crazy, colorful carpet they removed kept my mind occupied on those longish walks back to the room.

I do not believe there is any place to get chicken nuggets on the Boardwalk currently. Since Boardwalk Joe's closed and reopened as Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, corn dogs and fried mozzarella are the only walk up fryer foods available.
Across Crescent Lake, between Yacht Club and Beach Club there are chicken strips with french fries available at Hurricane Hanna's.

It's a pleasant walk, or you can take the boat across and back. There are some outdoor tables at Hurricane Hanna's so you can sit and eat there instead of schlepping back to Boardwalk if you'd rather.

No there are 5 Deluxe rooms on the 3rd floor and also the Cottages out in the courtyard have CL access. The lounge and the remaining CL rooms including the suits are on the 4th floor.

We are booked in a resort view cl room and our11 year old son would love to be able to walk down to the lounge on his own. I would feel a lot more comfortable if we were on tge same floor. We have stayed at the yc club and we were down the hall so I was wondering.

Resort view rooms are on the 4th floor, same as the lounge. Enjoy your stay!

How is the noise on the Villas side overlooking the Luna Park Pool? I am assuming it picks up in the afternoon?

We were in a 2 br on the 5th floor. I’m the type of person that opens all the doors to hear the music. For me, it’s all part of staying at a Disney resort, so I’m probably not a good person to ask. It doesn’t bother me. Loved the view.

Walt Disney World has announced that merchandise locations along Disney’s BoardWalk will be refurbished in phases starting this month. The work is expected to last through May, and Disney plans on keeping at least two merchandise locations open to guests at all times throughout the work. Here’s the announcement.

From January 2025 through May 2025, the merchandise locations along Disney’s BoardWalk will be refurbished in phases. Two merchandise locations will remain available for Guests throughout the refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see and hear construction activity in the area.

I’m confused by this announcement. There is the screen door and the art shop. Which is two merchandise locations. How can they keep two open if they close one for renovations. Am I forgetting a merchandise location? They took the small one off the lobby away for the coffee shop. What am I forgetting?

There is the Screen Door, Character Carnival and Thimbles and Threads, plus the art gallery. Screen Door, Character Carnival and Thimbles and Threads each have their own entrances but you can walk straight thru from Screen Door to Thimbles and Threads without even realizing that you've gone thru 3 stores.

You do know that Memorial Day weekend is May 23-26 and the announcement is through May which ends on the 31st.

On a more serious note I would expect that Screen Door would get the longest and most complicated update while Character Carnival and Thimbles and Threads should be really quick.
