Disney Wish - Murphy Bed stateroom identification and tracking

Many Disney cruisers, our family included, like to have a stateroom with a murphy bed ("MB") due to number of guests or due to preference.

The purpose of this thread is to consolidate information in one place about which staterooms on the Disney Wish have murphy beds.

Specifically, initially it is concerned with staterooms in the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom and Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah and Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom stateroom types, as they all sleep 4 or 5 and state in their room configuration descriptions that they have a "single wall pull-down bed (for rooms that sleep 5)", i.e. a murphy bed in the rooms that sleep 5. Note that there are other Concierge category staterooms that have a murphy bed, but for those categories all staterooms in the category have a MB according to the DCL description, so they will not be included in this list.

The next post will include an evergreen table of staterooms in each stateroom type, broken down by category, location on ship (forward, midship, aft), and port/starboard. In addition to murphy bed status, the following notations will be made: connecting rooms, hearing accessible, mobility accessible:

The easiest way to identify which staterooms have MB is to search in these categories for staterooms that can hold 5 guests. Once the ship starts sailing, guest reports will also be another source of information. Finally, DCL is a third source.

If you are able to confirm that a specific stateroom in these three categories DOES or DOES NOT have a MB, please post the information so it can be noted in the table in the next post.

Hello - is there any information to populate the table yet? I was under the impression that if you search with a family of 5, it will only show you Murphy bed cabins (from the categories you list). Since online booking is available now for Gold+, is it possible for a kind Gold+ member to do a search for 5 family members (on the least booked Wish cruise so far) and at least screenshot/grab what cabins are left that show up for 5?

We really want a Murphy bed. Even though we're a family of 4, our configuration doesn't work well sharing the queen bed. I guess I'll need to just search with 5 family members then change it to 4 and go back and book the room? I'm Silver (drat) so anxiously waiting for tomorrow.

You should be able to call and change the stateroom if you couldn't select it online. Or try going into your reservation, it may allow you to change the stateroom.

That's really unfortunate. I know we've booked the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom on the other ships and gotten a Murphy Bed with just 4 people - and I always book my stateroom online, so that's odd it doesn't show them. I wonder if that's specific to the Wish.

Was really hoping to avoid the likely 3+ hours on hold tomorrow trying to get a room. I was going to book Concierge on a B2B, but all the concierge are gone for the 4-day cruises. Maybe they'll be gone for the 3-days by the time I get one tomorrow.

Hmmm... so pre-daylight tomorrow when I'm trying to book rooms, I don't know what to do? Can I book for five passengers and then call in and remove one at some point? But I don't even know what I'd put for the fifth name since there won't be a fifth person going. I suppose I wouldn't even mind paying more for the privilege if it was just an option to select.

I found it very hit or miss (isn't their selection of displayed cabins always, though?). For example, I couldn't get any cabins to show on deck 8 unless I put 5 people in it. On deck 9, I could get some 5 person cabins to show with only 3 people and some others with 5 people.

At least, though, I found every cabin showed what beds were in the room. When I was looking at category 5 cabins, it would say which had the pull down bed in the ceiling and which didn't. Likewise, for the cat 4s, it said which had the murphy beds, and which didn't.

I think this will be helpful. While you can see it by clicking on an available room when trying to book, that's the only way. It has to be an available room on the specific cruise you're trying to book - it doesn't show in the standard deck plans. Since DCL seems to randomly decide what rooms are available, it could take a lot of time to search this out on your own. To be able to look at this quickly and know what rooms you want to book or tell your TA is great!

Would love it for all of the DCL ships.

Thanks. I'm concerned on Silver Booking Day that the remaining 4A/B/C/D will be going super fast, and waiting three+ hours on hold, they'll all be gone. I'm wondering about booking with a phantom 5th person to get one of the Murphy Bed rooms and then calling to remove the 5th passenger.

Or are you saying that the call to switch rooms gets connected a lot faster than a call to book a new reservation, so I should just grab a 4-person room and then call?

When I booked on Monday I did a lot of searching of rooms to make sure we get one with a murphy bed. Only 1 or 2 of the rooms that showed up searching for 5 showed up when I did the search for our party of 3, but they are bookable online.

That is a generalization for the category, unless they have changed it to be very specific. Some rooms in that category only sleep 4 and will either not have the murphy bed or will not have the ceiling bunk.

I just booked a room for 5 over the phone and now I can see other rooms available for my party when I click the "modify" link, so presumably all have the Murphy Bed. Obviously this is not complete as it is just the ones still open on the particular cruise I'm on, but I've listed them below.

I have been doing the searches and populating the tables and am getting reading to post the first update, which I expect to do later tonight. I've searched across about 6 cruise dates to come up with the list so far -- it is not complete, but there are certainly some distinct patterns, and after the first 3 I was only adding a couple new staterooms each time.

You are correct that searching for 5 guests gets you the non-concierge staterooms that have murphy beds.
