One major change among all visitors has been a shrinkage in the length of time in advance that people plan their vacations, Pressler said. The average visitor now books his vacation 30 to 45 days in advance, compared with a more traditional lead time of 90 to 120 days.
``People are playing it close to the vest,'' he said. ``It's a combination of recession -- people are making choices about where they're going to go. ... Two, they really want to understand and feel better about airline capacity and price.''

I still have a vacation planned for several months out (October/November). I also have been trying to decide if I want to go through with another vacation that I have planned for next month. I will probably cancel next months WDW vacation and stick with October/Novembers. What about the rest of you folks? Are you only planning things 30 to 45 days in advance? Is that shorter, longer, or the same amount of planning time as usual?
