Disney gift cards

If I purchase a gift card for food and add to my bill at Disney- is there a place outside of taking a picture of it- that you load to be safe?

If I took a picture and something happened would they honor it- and who would o contact?

No, they will not accept a picture of your gift card. You can store the gc on the disney gift card website but all that lets you do is transfer the balance to another gc, you can't spend from the website or see the card data from the website (and if your Disney Gift Card account is hacked someone can transfer your balance to their own gift card).

Better idea- just charge your food direct to the gc instead of to your room. That way you don't worry about losing the gc before the very end of your trip when you're settling your hotel bill.

My daughter was sent a E-DGC via email as a gift. She was able to add it to her Apple Wallet on her iPhone and use that to purchase things in the parks/resorts through through wallet. I would think it works with Google Wallet as well.

If you have a physical card you should be able to buy yourself an E-DGC and transfer the physical cards balance to the E-DGC using the DGC website.

I also usually put the number into the notes app of my phone, and bring a spare (empty) gift card from an old trip. That way:
a) If I lose it I can transfer the balance onto the empty card so no one can use the old one, and
b) I have the number easily accessible to copy/paste into MDE for mobile ordering, since for some reason you still cannot pre-load gift card balances into the app.
