We will be on a 5 night Dream cruise. I called to ask about dining and were given these options to request. I know it’s just a request, but which would you choose? The main things I’m considering are either being in Royal Palace on dress up night after my daughter has a Bibbidi appointment VS being in Animator’s Palate for pirate night. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Option A
AP
EG
EG - Pirate Night
RP - Dress up night - my daughter has BBB
AP

Option B

EG - dress up/BBB for my daughter

I prefer Animator's for Pirate night usually. And Enchanted Garden is a nice venue for dressy night.

I did a 5 night on The Dream in August 2024. I special requested Animators Palate on Pirate night as its the only one which will have pirate theming. They had a rotation of animations and photos from the ride and films on the screens and pirate music in the background.

My dining rotation was
Royal Palace - Let The Magic Begin Menu
Animators Palate - Pirate Menu
Animators Palate - Crush show
Enchanted Garden
Royal Palace

I guess to add: does anyone know if they show anything on the screens at Animator’s palate when it is your night there but not your official night there? Like if we went there night 1 and had the Let the Magic Begin menu, are they showing cartoons or anything on the screen?

On Pirate Night they have Pirate drawings on the screens. I’ve been in AP during Let the Magic Begin but can’t remember what was on the screens 🙈

Is there a way for a non-conceriege guest to make a request to be in a certain restaurant on a specific night (for example, Animators Palate for Pirates Night)?

I just got the dining rotation for my 5 night Dream cruise in June, and it’s so weird—three nights in the same dining room and one night each in the others. I didn’t even know that was possible! Not thrilled being in any of the dining rooms 3x in 5 nights. Does anyone know why they would do this?

You will have 3 menus, you wont have the same food every night. One night is probably pirate night,

Yes I saw a TikTok where someone was in AP for 3 nights. They had Let the Magic Begin menu, Pirate menu, then the actual AP menu with the Crush show. I’m guessing they do this if Pirate night falls on night 2? Maybe it’s easier for the servers to not have to change?

Correct, pirate night is night 2. Rotations are RRAER, AAERA, and EERAE.

I realize that, I was just hoping for more variety in the dining room atmosphere. Oh well, still better than cooking at home lol.

I had no idea this was a thing. I will call tomorrow to see if I can submit a request.

Would anyone know if I have a way to reach concierge ahead of time?

I’m on the Dream right now and this is what we have also. It’s so odd!

We have AAERA and then final breakfast in R, with nigh two being Pirate night and night five being Marvel menu.

I don’t know why they couldn’t have done AEERA & R for final breakfast.

You should receive an email from concierge approx. 130-125 (?) days prior to the cruise. You can submit any requests through them via email from that point on.

Before I call Disney, can someone break this down for me? This is our first Disney cruise so we have no idea how the dining works.
On other cruise lines we've been on, Celebrity, Norwegian and one other I forget which, they didn't specify one location one night and another location the next.

Not being familiar, I have to ask, why is it important? or, of concern enough to want it one way vs another?

On Disney, its assigned dining.
There are 3 main dining rooms, each have a different theme, some have entertainment during the meal.

Every room will be assigned a main dining room restaurant for every night of the cruise. You will be assigned a table number and a server team. The server team will follow you as you rotate between the different restaurants and you will have the same table number in every restaurant.

People request a specific restaurant on a specific day for many reasons.
  • They have a favorite restaurant or menu and want that on a specific day
  • They have a least favorite restaurant or menu and want that on a specific day so that they can skip it and book an adult specialty restaurant instead

You don't have to request a dining rotation. I would guess the majority of cruisers do not. Some folks have a favorite (or not-favorite) MDR. Some want to schedule Palo/Remy/Enchante for a specific night and don't want to miss the regular MDR rotation menus.
