Hi all! We leave for our first cruise in 26 days!🥰 I’m wondering if anyone here has ever disembarked at 7:30, done the express walk off, and gone straight to the Magic Kingdom. They open at 9 AM on the day we want to go. Is this feasible? There are four in my party and everyone moves pretty quickly. We will have light luggage, so lockers are my second question. Do they have big lockers? Thanks in advance.

You need to keep in mind that after you disembark, you need to go through immigration. Disney World is around 1 hour from the port. With some Pixie dust, you might make it 👍

Possible? Sure. Probable? Maybe if you're Domino. Especially if you don't control your transportation. If you can be one of the first 50 or so in line, I would think you might get to the park ~10 or so. Doubtful about earlier.

If you want off at 7:30 you will need to line up very early, hopefully everyone has passports to make security faster, traffic may or may not be in your favor and your still need to park and then board the monorail or ferry.

If taking a car service expect even more of a wait (it can be crazy at express walk off time) then they still drop you off at the TTC and they no longer have lockers at the TTC. MK and Epcot both have jumbo lockers, but I assume you will be pulled aside at the TTC for bag checks and you will need to store your bags at the lockers under the train station once you enter.

I think you are more likely to have bags stored and ready to enjoy the parks after 10 AM, Not likely by 9 AM

Suitcases are allowed but only with the following dimensions:

  • Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park or water park. Loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. Re-usable ice packs are recommended.”

We have done this several times. Never made it to a park for actual rope drop, but arrived soon after. Line up for express walkoff early - we line up around 7. Once the ship is cleared, the express walkoff line moves fast. If you have a US passport, getting thru customs is a breeze. They have facial ID and the line we were in took a couple minutes. We walk straight to our car at the port and drive to Disney.

We did this twice and got to the parks by 9:30. We had rented the car so we cut out the 'middle man', and we left our luggage in the car. I will say it was a frantic pace and we welcomed leaving the park early afternoon when our room was available and rested up for a return to the park in the evening.

We’ve done this a couple of times and arrived by 9:15 am. Both times, we rented a car because logistically the luggage was a hassle. So, most expensive locker ever!

Car rental is the key...and frankly, depending on the size of your party, it might not be THAT much more expensive than a shuttle both ways (plus back to the airport)

What is your transportation method?

Disney transfers only go to the resorts and all leave port canaveral around 9 am. So you won't get to your resort until around 10, where you may as well leave your bags at the desk.

If you rent a car, you can do this and just leave your bags in the car.

If you do a taxi or private transfer, you need to go through park security before getting to the lockers. You'd need to check the park rules to make sure your bags are allowed. You can grab a cab or transfer as soon as you leave the ship, but you'd want to stop at the hotel first.

Doable. I've done express walk off on the Wish and gotten back to my place in Kissimmee right about 9am. MK is a bit further from PC than my place, but not my much. So rope drop might be ambitious but you can certainly get there pretty close to opening!

Thank you!

We went straight to Epcot after getting off the Wish on Monday. We did not do express walk off and waited for our tag to be called, which was called around 8am. Unfortunately when we went off the ship, immigration had a massive line (only three facial scanners open) and it was moving at a glacial pace. 30 plus minutes in line and they shut them down and began processing families together with just a quick glance at our passports.

We made it into Epcot at 10:15am.

They called for express walk off at 7:15am ish on Monday.
