Have anyone been there recently?
Taking my Adult DD for her birthday(she wanted something casual).
Did you like the food options.
I understand it's a buffet

I think it's pretty good. The fact it's a buffet kind of food provides something for everyone.

I wouldn't put it there with Boma or even Tusker House when it was a buffet.

It very much reminds me of Hollywood and Vine or cape may as far as buffet styles go.

Food is varied but generic. Same basic menu as Chel Mickey. Always able to find enough food for picky DW to enjoy, especially the desserts.

Food is pretty good! We just don't love the Pooh characters but they're cute and sweet.

Was there in August.

Food was good for a character meal buffet. I remember being surprised by quality of a few things but cannot for the life of me remember what. I do remember eating the gumbo despite the heat that day. I am sure someone from Louisiana would say it wasn't good but it had okra in it so it passes my only test. Characters were 2/4. Tigger is always a good interaction. Piglet was really good this time. Eeyore was a disappointment (Usually Eeyore is the best at CP) and Pooh was meh.

I am guessing your daughter is into buffets and character interactions. If I was booking a casual meal I would reserve a table service at Canteen in Adventureland. Canteen is relaxed, has good food and cool surroundings. JMO

If you're looking in MDE for an ADR, it's Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. Just for anyone confused they can't find "Canteen" in MDE. :)

Characters are a hit or miss(she's 31) and buffets are easier because of the food options.
It's never fancy dining with her, just something she knows and sticks to it.

It is fine, food is decent, not great, not bad. I don't like to eat too much in one sitting, so buffets are not usually cost effective for me, but if the price is not an issue, that is a good option.

Just pointing out that Tusker House is a buffet again. :)

As for Crystal Palace, I like it. I tend to like buffets more than some people on here. Not because I love to overindulge (in fact, I don't really eat all that much). I just like the variety and the fact that it can cater to different tastes within a group.

We were there in January, and I thought the experience was excellent overall. They had carved roast beef, and it was possible to get it rare. I believe there were two different types of chicken, plus salmon, plus probably other meat options. The salad bar does not have the kinds of unusual food that you might find at Boma, but it is varied, with a wide range of fresh choices. The vegetables were excellent, in my opinion. The dessert selection is, well, "amusing." There are many cute, small desserts. So I don't think you would go wrong by trying it.

As far as the character interactions go, I probably don't need to recommend them to someone with the userid Tiigger2ntiinkerbell, but they are also excellent. Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore will all stop at your table, and interact with everyone.

I had no idea. Definitely going again, one of my favorite was Tusker House pre covid

The food is basic and a bit pricey, but it's a nice place to take a break in Magic Kingdom. I think the main attraction is the location and Winnie the Pooh characters.

We had it last January and it was better than when we had dinner there 4 years ago. We had a late breakfast reservation so ended up trying both. It was probably our favorite buffet we’ve had since pre covid

I can answer this question two ways.

As an adult, meh. I m not a huge fan of buffets and I find the food here to be uninteresting and, as a result, overpriced. I think the family style AYCE at Norway in Epcot is a much better option.

On the other hand, I think its different for children. I know the OP is bring an adult child, but for other members that read this thread with the same questions, I think it can be a great experience for children. The uninteresting food options is usually better for little kids, there is the character aspect, and when I think back to the time I first ate there as a child (granted, a long time ago lol), I thought it was elegant. Well, I was seven so I probably thought "fancy" lol. But it definitely made an impression on me as a child

Not exactly recent but we ate there about a year ago. I was really excited for it since our daughter loves Pooh (2 at the time). The food was honestly pretty bad, most things that should have been hot were cold. There weren't really many things out to eat, even in terms of simple choices. I definitely wouldn't go back for breakfast, but might try lunch.

My daughter did love the characters, as far as food I remember her telling me she was hungry as soon as we left. We were there for what felt like forever and didn't get to see all of the characters (Pooh skipped our table twice and never came back around 🫠 ).

I'm not even joking. I absolutely love the food here for dinner. I'm not a fan of character meals but I will endure pretending to be excited to meet Pooh & friends for the food. We literally have a joke that all the flavor at Magic Kingdom is for some reason residing here in the Crystal Palace.

There's even a decent spice level to some of the items. I had a cajun pasta that was excellent. The salmon. A chicken fried chicken with white gravy. Okay. Let me stop because I'm getting hungry. I literally bowed to the chefs on my way out one time. I'd go here every time if I could but sometimes I'm just not that hungry for the price and I have some friends that LOATHE buffets. Otherwise...
