Cost of internet packages onboard ?

We will be sailing on the treasure in February and would like an idea of how much the internet packages run at please.

I just got off a 5 day cruise in the Dream. The price is discounted if you take the package for the entire cruise. See below. I added the basic while I was in Fort Lauderdale port before boarding. I was just charged $120 for the basic plan which was supposed to include internet calling but for some reason I could not get calling to work. I was able to face time call but not straight internet calling. In my case I think it is a Verizon issue because I could not do internet calling after I returned home from the cruise. So from my experience if you are considering getting the package check with your cell phone provider before cruising to make sure your internet calling works. Price is for each phone so only my phone had the internet package. Both my phone and my wife's phone have each other's email accounts on them so we were able to check emails for both our accounts.

• The Stay Connected package lets you keep up with your social media, including posting photos. Currently, this package is $18 per day for one day or $16 per day if purchased for your entire voyage.
• The Basic Surf package has the additional benefit of checking email, internet access, and voice calls. Currently, this package is $28 per day for one day or $24 per day if purchased for your entire voyage.
• The Premium Surf package offers all of the above with faster connection speeds, streaming for short videos and music, plus video calling. Please note that you cannot stream from services such as Netflix and Hulu. Currently, this package is $42 per day for one day or $34 per day if purchased for your entire voyage.

We could not do Internet calling with Verizon because we bought our phone through another retailer. They said the Internet calling was a benefit if you bought phone directly from Verizon.

WhatsApp should work for text even with just ship wifi. No package needed for simple WhatsApp text. That's actually how most crew memvers stay in touch with families since even they have to pay for internet.

iMessage will also work but no photos or videos can be sent or received.

It's worth noting that your package isn't tied to a particular device. You and your wife could have both used the Internet on your own phones, but not simultaneously.

It's easy to switch. You just go to the same page that you used to purchase the package and take control from there, which will disconnect any other device.

We bought our iPhone through the Apple Store. After posting my earlier post I tried activating wifi calling and it worked this time. I never got around to contacting Verizon about the issue so I do not know what changed.

This is what I meant to say. Yes, you could use more than one phone on the plan but you would have to switch the the phone on the plan with another one. You cannot use both phones at the same time.
