Combining reservations by phone vs chat

Hello!

I made a request via chat on the DVC website to combine reservations in December a little over a week ago, and it’s not done yet as of today. Tomorrow is 30 days out, and I want to make sure they use the points I’ve designated in the existing reservations. I’ve had some issues in the past with MS using different contracts when combining. Normally it’s no big deal as I can modify the reservation to change out the points, but starting tomorrow things will go into holding, which I want to avoid.

If I call to combine them can they do it instantly on the phone? Or is it the same as chat where it’s a request that can take some time to complete?
 
Since you already put in the request by Chat, I think you should call them to check on the status of your request. You can tell them you want to avoid any problems with which points are used, to avoid having points go into holding. Hopefully they'll tell you it's done, or else complete it while you're on the phone.
 
I have reservations for Dec that I had them merge a few weeks ago and it took at least a week. I would hope if you called them the CM could note on your account which points to use. That way if there's a problem there should be a record of your call & request
