Christmas Decor 2024 (Have we done this yet?)

I forgot to share outside. This is more of a low key year for my decorations, not that I've ever done anything remotely big enough to win the neighborhood contests. I lost several pieces in the last year due to age, but I still love looking up my block and seeing my lights. We live at the entrance to a really festive cul de sac, so it's about 10 houses altogether that are lit up.

Santa collection (or rather half of it - last year I finally split some of the decorations into "odd year" and "even year" bins because it was just too much) -

And on shelves near the tree, nutcrackers & misc. stuff and a nativity set we bought when we had our first apartment (plus angels people gave us later) -

(These aren't everything, but easy stuff to grab of pic of right now.)

When does everyone take down their decorations/tree?

usually within days of new years. this year likely the following weekend. that said-i have about 7 battery operated electric candles that are on timers. they are placed around the living room during the holidays and I leave them all in place until their batteries die out (tends to last a few months). I like the warm glow during the winter months and the side benefit is I don't have to wonder which ones need new batteries when I put them back out the following holiday season.

When does everyone take down their decorations/tree? I usually leave mine up through the epiphany. We have a busy January coming up so I might take everything down on the 2nd this year.

Great photos everyone!

Outside is usually the first week in January. Inside is often mid month.
