Changes to Japan itinerary

The only big issue I had booking is that the website is slow and clunky, which seems to be a common issue across Japan even if you can read Japanese. Hotels selling out on opening day isn't great either, but that same issue happens with big Disney cruises or DVC rooms. It's the curse of putting out a good product for a price people are willing to pay.
I'll add to that hard truth with how antiquated some of their processes can be. My husband was especially frustrated that even in the rain we had to carry paper receipt slips en masse. On a single morning we had to have a slip of paper for our '15 happy entry' pass, another proving we were staying at Fantasy Springs Hotel, a third for our park pass (which at least was smaller card stock), another small card stock paper pass for our ride priority pass, AND have a wristband for the Fantasy Springs rides. It was... a lot.

...Plus another for the all-you-can-drink portion of our package.

And then more for every included giveaway (the popcorn holder, the two original items).... and dated ones for our breakfasts in the morning. But at least those were one and done!

I agree with that! My '15 happy entry' pass got wet, and that made it difficult! Fortunately, with the package ABD got us, it included a cute Mickey Head lanyard that had a couple of pockets in it, so I was able to stuff all the paper cards in there. But it *was* a lot!

Oh he is cute!

We ended up with a functional but not as cute one and at a loss for what to pick from the 'unique items' I chose a mickey before seeing how very big he is. I fear these are all bound for goodwill unless someone here wants them enough to pay shipping... ^^;;

I'll bet you get plenty of offers! ❤️

I picked a little tiny mat, intended for sitting on during the long waits for shows and parades. I'll have to dig it out & post a picture later.

I just got back from Japan and TDL and TDS and boy those paper passes were a lot. We also had the unlimited rides package from the FSH and on the last day I went through all the slips a few times to make sure that I didn't miss any (I was paranoid that I'd lose the unlimited priority pass so I put them in my fanny pack as soon as we showed them, same with the drink passes). We were able to use the app to show proof of our room, but the little paper slips for everything else. The slips for happy entry they gave us in plastic sheaths at least. I also got 2 of the Mickeys -- my ds is going to give 1 of them to his best friend's 6 yr old son. Not sure what I'll do with the other. The blue bags are quite flimsy aren't they? I debated if I even wanted to bring them home (I did -- have no clue what to do with them). I had to have the front desk at our hotel in Osaka cut the band off my wrist because they made it so snug (ds was able to eventually slide it off). You'd think they could update their app to get rid of all the little paper slips.....my gosh if you drop your unlimited PP you'd be in the standby queue for the rest of the day (I haven't lost one, but they do say they won't issue another if they are lost...).

My assumption is they "can't" do that as they don't offer free wireless... maybe? It does seem nice to not assume folk are tech savvy or force you to pay for data but... it COULD be an option, folks! It doesn't have to be one or the other...

WE wanted to check out the other hotels. Disney will move the luggage for free so hope to do 2 nights at Disneyland hotel. Then when we leave for the park they will move the luggage for free to our Disneysea hotel for the last
We're also switching (MiraCosta then Disneyland Hotel) because we want to experience them both. Hearing that they will move our bags makes the decision to switch hotels even easier (we're a party of 6).

We have a lot of places we want to see/experience in the world. Also, DH works a lot, our kids have all the normal school and extracurricular commitments,... so it could be a while before we can return to Japan. I'd rather go through the relatively minor inconvenience of switching hotels than miss out on something we want to do.
