Candlelight Processional 2024

We've never done Candlelight, but we have a dining package for Jodi for the early show on the 29th. Is a dining package for an early show that late in the season usually necessary? With her closing things out, maybe that changes the calculus? Though, seems like there are still plenty of packages still available for that show, so maybe that answers my question.

With Christmas to New Year's being the busiest week in the parks, I'd keep the package as it'll guarantee you a seat for it.

With it being the busiest week of the year and Jodi narrating? It is going to be packed.

I have a couple Biergarten dining packages reserved and need help deciding which one to keep for Saturday 12/7. We are starting the day in Hollywood Studios for early entry around 8 am and plan to watch the Epcot fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Options are:
- 12:55 pm meal, 6:45 pm show
- 3:30 pm meal, 8:15 pm show

Other priorities in Epcot that day will be Futureworld rides, and Festival of the Holidays entertainment. We will have spent the previous morning/early afternoon in Epcot as well focusing on World Showcase. I’m hoping we can take a midday break at our offsite hotel but I’m not sure we’d have time if we do a 12:55 pm meal. Thoughts?

I would keep the earlier one as once the 8:15 show is over it might be more challenging to find a good viewing location.

I'm thinking about canceling my dining / ticket reservation. Teppan Edo was the only thing available and it is the most expensive meal. As a solo traveler, I'm also not keen on sitting with folks I don't know. What are my chances of not getting in to see the CP as a walk-up? Would I need to stand in line for hours? (I guess they don't offer a single rider line for this, right?)

depending on the narrator, plus the time of season, you easily could wait hours in line. And if it's later in the day, you potentially could not get in

You can see and hear it from outside the theater. Not the same as sitting inside, but lots of people stand around in the back or sit across (in front of the US Epcot bldg).

Long story short, we're in the process of moving from Ohio to Florida. I begged my DH to take a detour to the Candlelight Processional, but now I feel bad for asking him to do so, knowing we'll have the opportunity for many shows in the future.

For those who have attended previously, will I regret canceling, or should I just stick with the plan to attend? (We'll already be in FL looking at houses.)

Has anyone noticed any oddities with what reservations show up? I am booking the CP Dining Package for Dec 29. Most of the time when I search (for 2 people) on the app, the mobile website, and on my laptop, no reservations are available. But in the past few days there's been a couple of rare times I have managed to do the search in such a way (no clue how) that a whole bunch of times pop up across 4-5 restaurants available. Sometimes only the 5pm show pops up, and sometimes I have the choice between the 6:45pm and 8:15pm shows (with all the same restaurant times).

I did snag a Biergarten for the 6:45pm show during one of these rare times but still hoping for La Creperie to save some money. My daughter and I are super excited to see Jodi Benson!

I wanted to do spice road but my wife basically said it would be much easier to feed the kids Italian, haha
Yeah, I don't know if my daughter is going to like Spice Road because she's picky, but my son likes to try new things and he wanted it.
