Cancelling/rebooking/combining reservations

Another thing that is confusing me so much is now that I have borrowed points i I want to use them before any other points. If I cancel all of my reservations I have right now and all the points go back into my account and I book a new reservation, will the system use the borrowed points first and if not is there a.way I can use borrowed points for booking reservations before the points that were originally in the use year? I just don't want to lose em

I have been driving myself insane trying to piece together enough nights for what I want and not having a backup because I don't have enough points yet to do both. This is going to send me to an early grave i just got word that my animal kingdom just closed a day early Im just going to book what is available now until I get those new points and then try to work on what we're really chasing because If I end up with nothing it will be a royal screw up

Yes, the system will recognize the borrowed points and use them first since they're the most restricted. You don't need to cancel all of your reservations to do this though. You just need to click modify and then not change anything in terms of dates etc. and the system will change which points it uses. If you don't click modify and rebook it though, the system will not automatically do this for you. If you're ever unsure of whether or not your banked points are being used first or not, just click modify and do it anyways to ensure the most restricted points are taken.

So i can book online myself with transferred points, i don't have to call?

Once you are at 7 months or less, yes. During the home resort period for them, no…you have to call your use and modify with them.

To clarify about the waitlists, you get two per membership per UY

They don’t go with the points when you transfer, if that is what you are asking.

So, if you transfer AKV points from their membership to the BLT membership, you won’t get four waitlists now under your BLT membership.

Thank you for clarifying, the membership services agent told me that i would lose two of my waitlists if I transferred all of my points, that didn't seem right to me

You'll still have access to the waitlists for the membership that has no points left, but it is pretty useless unless you are willing to let it borrow points from the next year if one of those waitlists come through. That is probably what they meant that you won't really be able to use the waitlists from the empty contract for the year (unless you borrow)

My guess is they meant there’d be nothing to use for a waitlist, unless you borrow.

Basically, if your AkV and BLT points are in one membership, then you’ll only be able to set up two waitlists for all of your points.
