Calling the Ladies - Need some swimsuit help here

have you looked into lands end bathing suits? they are comfortable and come in a variety of styles and sizes

I totally agree Lands End bathing suit are great. Plus they have a coding that helps you pick the correct suit for your body type. I am a triangle!!

I second Ross and Marshals. They have great swimsuits at wonderful prices!

Check out the website swimsuitsforall.com. I am very happy with the Delta Burke suit I got being that it was designed by a larger woman.

I second this website. I got a cute suit from them a couple years ago when I was heavier and had the big chest. I've since had a reduction and swimsuit shopping is so much easier!

I love my swimsuit from Lands End. I have the swim top with the swim shorts and it is very comfy and has lasted several "swim seasons."

Lands' End faille suits are the most flattering (not shiny!) I've been able to find.

I like the look of their swim skirts, but I buy a separate cover skirt and a separate swim bottom. Looks the same as the swim mini, but you can remove the skirt and put on shorts to travel to/from the water park. Also, I buy the overstocks (cheap!) and mix and match the colors.

I like being able to go to Sears and try them on to either buy immediately or see what size I need to order, too. And yes, the ability to return Lands' End orders there is a great benefit.

I bought 2 years ago this swimsuit on the website Junonia. The skirt has 20".

I have had wonderful luck with Land's End. I have a tankini that I LOVE. I could order it by bra size, and the bottoms have full coverage of my ample tush! I don't worry about bending over in my suit. Which is a good thing when chasing crazy kids! It covers my stomach well also.
They have a huge selection of cover ups too. I bought a white cotton tunic with 3/4 sleeves. It's so light and airy that I hardly notice it's on.
Good luck, and don't worry about being Pooh size at WDW. It's probably the least judgmental place on earth! You'll see plenty of people just your size at the pool.

Lands' End!!! Check out the website first http://www.landsend.com and see if they may have stores near where you live. (If you have never heard of Lands' End, it's very similar to LL Bean). To me it's always better to go in person and actually try the stuff on before you buy it. They have very well made swimwear/cover-ups for ladies of any size. I used to not really like their swimwear because I thought it was too plain looking but last summer they had some adorable safari print swimsuits. At the end of the summer last year I bought a one piece giraffe print swimsuit that was perfect. I bought it for my trip to Disney in Sept. I'm not pooh-sized. I'm kind of petite on top but I kind of got the booty and hips going on (I guess I have an hourglass figure?) and this swimsuit was perfect for covering my big booty!

I know they won't have the safari print stuff since it was from last season, but I know now they have this season's swimwear out, so check it out and see if you like anything. GOOD LUCK!

I agree, Lands End is the way to go. Even if you order online and it does not fit, you can return it to any Sears store! Their Overstocks area on the landsend.com site has some great swimsuits offered! May I suggest the following swimsuit from Lands End Overstock? http://www.landsend.com/pp/CustomSo...=IDX_00008_0000000347_0000000135&origin=index

I love the It Figures suits with the skirts to hide my upper thighs. QVC sells a bunch of them.

Love them, too. Also purchased two from QVC, with a cute terry cloth tank top and capri set as a cover up. I am a 22/24, with DDs. They are colorful and modern looking and have great coverage in the leg/fanny area. They also have a "C cup and up" line. You can see the models and videos at the QVC website. Have a great time.:cloud9:

So happy that I won't be the only pooh sized woman there. I bought a cute tankini top and board shorts from jcpenney that I love but the board shorts have little meatal decorationas and now I read on these boards that no metal of any kind on a bathing suit is allowed at water parks. I am so bummed. After spending a good chunk of change I can't even wear it.:headache: But somehow I plan to just go out there and have fun with my kids anyway. Cuz that's the part we will remember.
Good Luck on your swimsuit hunt
Hugs, Karen

I also heartily recommend Land's End bathing suits. I have two of the tankinis and I love them. Like you I wear a 20 have Triple sized girls and a lot of junk in my trunk. The tops have plenty of support for my girls and you can mix and match the bottoms to get coverage for your trunk as well. The tops come down just enough to overlap the bottoms so I don't look like I have a two piece on, but I have the freedom of not having my girls hang out if I have to use a public restroom at the beach.

I also just bought the following coverup for my trip to WDW (the long trek from the room to the poool feels so awkward in just a bathing suit IMO). I ordered it on Saturday and had it on Wednesday so you have plenty of time to get stuff from LE with standard delivery. It's really roomy but still tapered enough not to look like a mumu and it's surprisingly light weight.

I loved the it Figures dresses from QVC. I thought they were cute and fairly age appropiate (I am 32).

I love the It Figures suits with the skirts to hide my upper thighs. QVC sells a bunch of them.

I second that. I have purchased these for my disney trips in the past and will be taking them again this year. They are cute/stylish and still cover up the thigh area well. I purchased them in your size so I'm sure it would work for you as well. Whatever you choose just have fun and trust me you will see many people wearing suits that don't hide anything and they could care less, lol.
