We're a party of three - mom, dad, and our eleven year old. We are very frequent Disney visitors and try to get to Orlando three or four times a year. We're DVC members but also have a pop-up camper. This trip was a long weekend at Fort Wilderness in our camper. We have a big trip planned for about a month from now so dining (other than Food & Wine) wasn't a huge focus.

Friday, November 10
Breakfast - on the road - McDonald's.

Lunch - Food & Wine Festival. This was our main goal for the weekend. We love the Food and Wine Festival. We weren't disappointed.
Our favorites -
Canada - Maple Glazed Salmon
France - Chocolate Creme Brulee
Spain - A Taste of Spain

Dinner - pizza in the camper

Saturday, November 11
Breakfast - donuts in the camper

Snack - Magic Kingdom candy shop -
white chocolate drizzled pretzel
white chocolate coated Mickey rice krispie
chocolate toffee cookie
All were great and a good snack.

Lunch - Back at the Food & Wine Festival again.
Our favorites -
Mexico - Chorizo quesadilla
Australia - Beef skewer
France - goat cheese tart
(and more chocolate creme brulee)

Dinner - Spoodles. This was our first time for dinner.
We split -
Four Cheese Flat Bread (appetizer)
Oak Fired Salmon
Fettucini Alfredo
We thought the food was great and the portions easily big enough to split. The flat bread had six pieces and they also brought out bread and an olive oil tapenade. Both the salmon and pasta were cooked perfectly and we easily split them between the three of us. Service was okay. It was a little rushed and the server made a point to mention that they didn't have specials anymore. Still we enjoyed our meal.

Sunday, November 12
Breakfast - in the camper

Snack - Main Street Bakery
The french toast loaf was by far the best thing we had. We also had an average cinnamon roll and chocolate cake. This was exactly what we needed and we'll be back. Crowds were heavy as people really line up for this as almost nothing is open early in the MK.

Lunch - Saratoga Springs Artist Palette
We split -
2 Cheeseburger Flatbreads
1 Spicy Chicken Paninis
1 chocolate cake
1 Hershey Kiss cheesecake
We always enjoy our meals here and this was no exception. Our two entrees were both specials and that's generally what we order when we go to this restaurant. The specials just taste better and are usually a little fresher. We saved the desserts for later and they were fantastic!

Dinner - Trails End Buffet
This is not our favorite place to eat on property but when we stay at the Fort we usually end up here for one meal. It just works out better to not have to leave and head out to find something to eat. The food was fine with the standout being the chocolate bread pudding. At first they tried to seat us downstairs in the Crockett's Tavern area but we politely asked to move and were accomodated. The waitress for that area sort of questioned us but we just don't like sitting there as we've done it before. It's too far from the buffet and too loud with the football game and bar.

Okay that's it. Next trip is a long one - eight days and we'll be on the DDP for the first time!
