Am I crazy for looking at this? What is going on? How is BLT direct more than Poly and Grand Floridian?
Doesn’t BLT have a better point chart? It probably has something to do with that.I don’t know if prices will go up on the resale market, but this is a resort you want to buy resale on if you want it. Same with Beach Club. Both very walkable and both very expensive direct. BLT is mid refurb. It looks pretty good. I don’t know that it will change pricing though.
It isn’t in active sales. Not sure why they didn’t match Grand Floridian’s pricing to BLT, but they didn’t.
It does; that might be why. But OKW and SSR are super cheap comparatively direct and also have cheap point charts. GF is the fancy flagship, so they should be able to ask for more there.Doesn’t BLT have a better point chart? It probably has something to do with that.
But if you buy RESALE you get a very low ppp and low dues….We were fortunate enough to stay in a two bedroom the first it was available after the refurbishment. The room itself was simply amazing and fantastic. But that’s where it ended for us unfortunately. The pool and surrounding areas are extremely boring and sterile. I’d stay there before buying
Please let us know your thoughts on both rooms. I would like to stay at Poly Tower, but wondering if it's worth the extra points. BTW what does SAP mean, I've seen it used several times in different posts, but can't figure it outI booked a grand villa in May at BLT, preferred view. Fingers crossed it will be a refurbished unit. I used to think it was my favorite resort and I have never stayed there - I figured the TPV rooms and walking distance to MK were enough reasons for it to be a must own. Now I think the dues and resale price make it an excellent SAP+ candidate but $275 pp direct is beyond the pale.
I will be comparing the BLT grand villa to a 1bdrm TPV room at the Poly tower from a stay a couple months ago… looking forward to it!

Thank youSleep Around Points
- DVC points you use to stay most anywhere besides the home resort of those points, within the 7 month window. You don’t particularly like the home resort of those points which is why you use them to book nice units elsewhere.
Sleep Around Points +
- DVC points you use to stay anywhere including the home resort of those points, and you’re ok with using them at 7 to 11 months because you like that home resort anyway.
Sleep away points I don't think I would have ever figured out I was more along the lines of seasonal annual pass (makes no sense) some annual perks, etc^ took me 6 months on these boards to figure that out…
