We are going in May and really want to eat in France. I was going to make my adr's for Bistro de Paris, but I'm wondering if there's a huge difference. Have any of you eaten at one of these and should we book Bistro because it's so much nicer? What do you think? I appreciate your advice!!
Thanks.

There is a big difference between the restaurants. Bistro de Paris is very fine dining, with waiters in tuxedos and white tableclothes. Chefs de France is more casual. A dinner at BdP may take a couple hours, while you will be in and out of CdF in about an hour. The menus are very different. The food at BdP is better, but CdF is very good. It's just a question of what dining experience you are interested in.

I've never been to Bistro (I will one day!) but I love Chefs. I don't know if you have kids or not but I'm pretty sure Bistro does not have a kid's menu or high chairs (it's more geared towards an "adults" meal).

We're a party of 4 adults. We're going for our first wedding anniv.
Does anyone know if the men have to wear a suit to Bistro? I know that most of the restaurants have a simple dress code.

Bistro de Paris restaurant in Epcot Theme Park features a focused wine list and inventive twists on traditional French dinners.

The upscale Bistro de Paris restaurant is located upstairs—one flight above the other gourmet French restaurant in the France Pavilion, Les Chefs de France. These two restaurants, along with the Boulangerie Patisserie pastry shop, share the talents of a trio of French chefs: Paul Bocuse, Roger Vergé and pastry master Gaston Lenõtre.

The formal decor in Bistro de Paris captures the romance and elegance from turn-of-the-20th century Paris. Brass scones, milk-glass chandeliers and leaded glass adorn this quiet bistro.

À la Carte and Prix Fixe Options at Bistro de Paris

From the à la carte menu, begin your meal at Bistro de Paris with a medley of familiar French appetizers: escargot, frog legs and fois gras. The main dishes are rich selections, such as double-cut white veal chop, rack of lamb and filet mignon. The silky chocolate soufflé is a popular option for dessert.

The decadent prix fix tasting menu consists of 4-courses, and is available with or without wine pairings.

There is no children's menu at Bistro de Paris restaurant.

Bistro de Paris Wine List

Bistro de Paris boasts a magnificent wine list that features French wines from the famed regions of Alsace, Loire Valley, Southern France, Bourgogne and Bordeaux.

Bistro de Paris is one of the few Epcot restaurants located on the second story. Seating is based on first-come, first-served, but if a window-side table becomes available when you arrive, you'll have a unique vantage over Epcot Theme Park.

I have eatten at both and actually like Chefs a lot better. Bistro was a little to stuffy for my taste and the food quality is the same at Chefs. Hope this helps.

We found Chef de France very crowded and noisy. The tables were close together (Obnoxious children at the next table who would not sit still were constantly bumping into me.... I was even kicked as the wallowed around on their seats) The DDP has lessened the quality of the experience here. This place is packed now so even a late ADR doesn't help with the crowd. Food is good, though.

If you want a nice quiet elegant dinner, go upstairs to Bistro.................and expect to pay more for it.

While I will eat lunch at Chefs from time to time, it's a far inferior dining experience compared to Bistro upstairs. It's fine dining, some may call that stuffy, but it's just fine dining in a fine dining atmosphere. The menu is sophisticated with elegant presentation. We sometimes do the price fixe menu but more often do not. Their chocolate souffle here is incredible. It's generally a quiet, slow paced relaxing dinner in a small intimate setting. It's not on the dining plan and has no children's menu so the diners here are generally dining here because they want that quiet romantic excellent dinner.

Chefs is noisy, very crowded tables, somewhat slow service, more of a family dining atmosphere than fine dining. The menu is rustic French so you will not find the delicate sauces and flavors you will get upstairs. Here you get onion soup and roast chicken. It's only 1TS credit on the dining plan and is almost always packed to the rafters.

Thank you so much for your advice and opinions. I think I will stick with the original plan for BdP and maybe try CdF when my husband and I go back with children someday. We're trying to make the most of this adult only trip as far as our restaurant choices....I just get a little nervous about going overboard on cost. We are reserving:
Cali Grill
Jiko
Portabella Yacht
ESPN
Bistro de Paris
Narcoossee's
and one other. It was going to be Flying Fish, but I'm a little undecided. I'd also like to try Whispering Canyon for breakfast.
Thanks again!

Two of the best meals I've ever had at WDW were at Cali Grill and Jiko. You have made great choices and I, too, would take this opportunity to go to BdP. Enjoy your trip!

I don't know if you're interested but my bf and I had a wonderful breakfast at the Boardwalk Bakery. It was a beautiful morning, we got these enormous breakfast sandwiches and sat outside on the Boardwalk. Very peaceful and quiet (and delicious!).

Definately Le Bistro if you are an adult only party. No, suits are not required. They ask for resort casual, but we have went in park attire, as many other people have.

The restaurant is very small and romantic, the food is fabulous and so is the service.

Thanks for the Boardwalk Bakery recommendation. I wrote it down and we will definitely stop there for breakfast one morning.

We went to BdP when we were there a few weeks ago; we didn't have an ADR at Epcot but found ourselves very hungry. Since BdP isn't on the dining plan, we were able to walk in. It was great!

We had appetizers and desserts. For her dessert, my d had the cheese plate. (She jokes that she did the "cheese plate tour" of Disney!) It was the best she's ever had. I had the creme brulee plate - and it was the best I've ever had, particularly the creme brulee ice cream.

And we were able to watch the fireworks outside the window. It was wonderful!

Does anyone know wher I can get a Wine List with Prices for "Les Chefs de France" any help would be greatly apperciated
Thanks::cool1:
