Best restaurants in California Adventure

Aloha,

So we are going to DL in January with friends mostly 20-26 year olds. We are trying to find a good restaurant in California Adventure...that have a decent view and good food. Just a nice dinner to close our trip in CA...Any suggestions..recommendations?

Ultimatly for a view I would suggest sitting along the water in Blue Bayou in DL.

Though since you ask about DCA, their is one good spot, though it may be cold. Ariels Grotto has a outdoor pier into the lagoon.

While it doesn't offer a view the other nice table service location is Wine Country Trattoria.

If you can make do with some counter service, the Paradise Pier garden grill and Pizza and Pasta has nice outdoor seating and you could of course take it to a bench along the lagoon.

If you want something more social but not a dinner place, the Alfresco Lounge is elevated, outdoors but has some heaters. They have appetizers and a complex list of cocktails. Under 21 is totally fine to sit there.

I really liked the atmosphere of the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta and Paradise Garden Grill area. My mom liked the heavy silverware, and the pasta comes on real plates. On the weekends, they have music acts. When we went there was VERY ample seating and it was a very nice place to catch a quick meal.

The Wharf area is a different view (serviceable but a little food-court feeling) and a wide array of options of food.

Use the GCH exit from DCA and visit either Storyteller's or Napa Rose (depending on budget). They are far superior to both Ariel's and Wine Country Trattoria. Storyteller's doesn't necessarily have great views, but it's a great place to spend time with friends. Afterwards you should grab an adult beverage and spend some time in the GCH lobby. It is sooooo gorgeous and so relaxing!

I agree with this completely. It is very inviting and well laid out.

I'm not a big fan of Ariel's or WCT either.

Storyteller's is a favorite and easy to get to from the Grizzly area exit into the Grand.

We've had good meals at the Trattoria but now our go-to place is the Boardwalk area (love the pizza, my wife loves the grill place). Agree with others that Storytellers is just a very short walk away and can be a nice place to eat (though their buffet is a bit small/variety). Even the White Water snacks at GCH is a nice, shady place for a snack.

There are currently musical entertainment groups on the Paradise Gardens bandstand 7 days/week. They start at 11:50 am, and their last set is at 6:30 pm.

My DH and I definitely think Cove Bar was the best place. (We're 24 & 25). We loved the Lobster Nachos and my DH had a pretty good drink there too. Stay away from the fish tacos!

Oh, thanks! We visited a bit before 7 PM last Saturday so I assumed the band was just a night thing. (It gets dark so early I thought we ate later than we did!)
