Going to CA Adventure/Downtown Disney on the 12th and am looking for lanyards, not so much for pins but the kind with the clear plastic holder attached so i can hold my upcoming cruise room key card, if anyone has any ideas and/or prices thanks!!!

I was wondering this too. :) Also, does everyone in our party (5) need one, or will one or two do? I was thinking of getting a couple in case we split up.

Lanyards are really inexpensive, 5 to 7 bucks, I believe. The little pouches, well we paid about $5 each for "zippered" pouches with characters on them. I have Tink and hubby has a skull and crossbones, and they work really well.

Just about every place has the same selection and price, so just head on in somewhere and look around! It's possible World of Disney might have the biggest selection, but everywhere seems to have most, if not all, of the available lanyards anyway.

But the question is for the OP, doesn't Disney cruise give you one? Or can you buy a cruise-specific one while on the ship? Wouldn't that be more fun? :goodvibes

Thanks for the info Bumbershoot. I'm actually not cruising, but would like to try out pin trading and the kits are too expensive, so I'm trying to buy some discount pins and would also like the lanyard because I'm always digging through my purse to get my tickets for FASTPASSES, Entrance, etc. A zippered case for the lanyard would be really nice!

you can find them around the parks or we bought one off of ebay for like $5 or $6

NWPrincess, since you're in Seattle, have you checked out the about-to-close Disney Character Warehouse up in Burlington? Looks like it ends on the 8th so you would have to scoot, but they *might* have lanyards and pouches. Hubby has a 3 day weekend, and suddenly I'm thinking we should head on up to see if we can find some bargains before it closes.

It's at The Shoppes at Burlington
448 Fashion Way #A003

You can also check out disneyshopping (that goes for anyone looking for lanyards) dot com, b/c they sometimes have them in their outlet or just on sale. Their shipping costs are atrocious though, if you're not ordering enough to qualify for any free shipping promo they offer. But I was ordering quite a bit at Yule time, and got hubby a nightmare before xmas lanyard that we hadn't seen at the parks. He has something else for the parks, and wears the Yule present lanyard for his work keycards! :goodvibes

Since I am right in the middle of law school finals and its a good drive for me, I probably will not make it up to Burlington, but I may try as a study break ;) ! At this point, since they don't sound too expensive, I might just buy it at World of Disney the first night we get in.

I will check disneyshopping.com though! If not, I'll just buy it at the park.

For everyone--Disneyshopping.com has a YOMD Lanyard with plastic holder thingy and two mickey trading pins for $9.99! Thanks for the suggestion Bumbershoot!

We have a Disney Character Warehouse here too. I was looking at the lanyards there, they had only a few to choose from. They were all the kinds that came with a set of 5 or so pins already, though. I remember a Princess one and Cars one. I saw an individual blue lanyard with a pouch at the regular Disney Outlet store recently. I don't remember the price on it.

im looking for a pirates one and would like the plastic thingy to be more sturdy lol the last one broke. I'm also gona get a fannie pack to put things in like maybe my lanyard so dont go off on upside down rides

Isn't the only loop on Screamin'? If so, that shoulder harness thing can just go over your lanyard (that's what I do) and it doesn't move. :)

i dont do screaming lol but i though space went upside down..or dose it just go so fast lol idk i just know some one said they lost there pins on one the rides and i was like dang dont want to mine excpicaly if have the tickets in the plastic thing. but thanks ill look at that site

I live about 5 minutes away from here, I went a couple weeks ago and they had 1 starter kit available still (which Im sure is gone now) and only a handful of lanyards, all the same kind. I want to say they were around the $3-4 range but didnt have a pouch.

Im probably going to swing in this weekend myself to see if there is anything worth taking advantage of before they are gone. :(

For me, the time spent going there is just not worth it. I just bought a starter kit (lanyard, pouch and two Mickey pins) for $9.99 on Disney Shopping. But thanks for the info! :)
